Then again, I could see if any attorneys can offer services such as legal workshops (criminal and civil)...in fact, I'll send a few emails today.
Thank you. Actually we could use some assistance on filing for the 501(c)3. We already have our EIN#. There is a $350.00 application fee and if the application is submitted with errors the IRS kicks it back and it will take another $350.00 to re-submit it. We are a very young organization and our funds are limited, at this point we can only afford to do this once. In light of that if you have any information you can pass on to me about free legal services that specialize in this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi brother!

Did you check out the new Judge It button? It looks like they are upgrading this page.... interesting.

Everything is good. Just really busy getting ready for the 12th. We are actually working in collaboration with S.T.R.O.N.G. on that day. S.T.R.O.N.G. will be bringing there group from Freeport, so together we will have a team of about 25-30 youth and they will be "Taking It To The Streets For Environmental Justice". The Town created this clean up project to spread from April 5th through May 21st. They have slated several areas in the Brookhaven Township for the clean up. Everything from cleaning graffiti, to picking up litter. We are not the only two groups involved in this project, but we are the only two groups slated for the No. Bellport area. They are going to provide gloves, platic bags, recycle bags and t-shirts. They will be bringing out the shredding machine sometime during the end of the project for people who have old papers they want to get rid of. So not is it only a clean up for the outside of the house but for the inside too. It's all good. Our youth are actually looking forward to it. Let's just hope for good weather that day. I know it will be a success.

Sister you are rolling now. Weather can not be a factor. I am sure it will all turn out well. Make sure that you hold folks to there words and promises they have been made before. Enlist some of the adults to participate, it adds a measure of legitimacy to the whole thing. I am proud of you and the rest of the crew keep up the good work.

Sounds like the ole divide and conquer tactic, that will not work. As you can see we are pretty tight regardless of what you think and your antics. If you were as righteous as you portray yourself to be you would join DOUG and lend a hand.

I personally don't have a lot of experience in tax exempt charities, not-for-profits or other such organizations....we do mostly business entities and corps....but I will check a few sources. I can think of 2 attorneys who offer pro bono services for organizations such as yours, so I'll let you know their response.

Word of advice:
When you send a check, make sure you send a note along with it stating that you DO NOT want drugs sent to your house. If you don't, they'll just think it's normal drug money and then send you some rock.
