Hi all you aunties and uncles and cousins! You know, in the time it takes you to log on to Newsday blogs, etc., why don't you guys just hop a flight to Islip and go see poor Paul and cheer him up?
Not everyone can just drop everything and fly out of state at a moment's notice. That was a pretty stupid statement - "in the time it takes you..." That would only apply if it would take the same amount of time to fly up to Islip.

To Paul's family - I hope he okay!! AND that they catch the truck driver who was uncaring enough to just drive off after the accident.

As one of the Fire/ems peronel who was at the scene and saw firsthand the result of the callousness of the runaway driver and saw the fear an concern on pauls friends and families faces, it tears at your heart, and I hope the M***f*** is not only caught but prosecuted fully..but you know our court system

As someone who lives close to the accident scene and saw the aftermath, I said a prayer last night and continue to keep this young man and his family in my prayers. I hope that he has a COMPLETE recovery from his injuries and lives a full and happy life!!

Hug your kids everyday and let them know how much you love them!!

With Gordeh Heights, Artist Lake and Lake Ct all in the near-by vicinity it should be rather easy to find the prick, or prickett. Cant be discriminitory when it comes to this sorta thing. Cant always blame the Spanish or African American.

I'd say it was O.J but he was confirmed to be in Vegas.

Paul was not drinking, nor is he a drunk. I don't know where you got this information from, but it's incorrect.

Pull through Paul!! We're praying for you!!

I hope they catch the heartless coward who did this.

I HEARD IT FROM A FEW PEOPLE THAT SAID THEY WERE ON THE SCENE. I HOPE HE WASN'T BECAUSE IT WILL LOOK VERY BAD FOR HIM. ALOT OF PEOPLE IN THAT AREA ARE KNOWN FOR DRINKING AND DRUGS AND IT IS SAD THAT THE TEENS ARE THE WORST THEY HAVE EVER BEEN. THIS COUNTRY MUST TAKE A STRONG STAND AGAINST TEENS THAT DRINK AND USE DRUGS BECAUSE THINGS LIKE THIS WILL HAPPEN.
MAYBE THE DRIVER THAT HIT HIM THOUGHT HE WAS ON DRUGS AND WAS SCARED TO STOP.
