Oh whatever...I saw nothing but sleet and rain today. Ok I'm not at the shore, but this storm was a whimper for Long Island, save for some wind damage and coastal nuisances.

Well I would once again like to thank the town of Brookhaven highway department for NOT being out there Sunday morning clearing the roads on the North Shore of Brookhaven. Early morning when the roads were icey before it switched over to all rain, our highway department was not out there sanding, yet when Nicholls Rd, Sunrise Highway and roads in Smithtown and Islip and County roads were attended to. Thanks Again guys.. well done...

Nice article!
Don't you mean "fails" instead of "falls"? Must be that font you are using! Thanks for keeping us informed.

If you can't even get the headline right, you must be doing something wrong. With all the typos and poorly researched reporting, Newsday is quickly falling to the bottom of my list. If this is any indication of what Newsday and its editorial staff thinks of its readers, I'll go elsewhere.

Major storm - yeah right. We used to get 12 inches of snow in the '70's and nobody binked. Now 1 inch of snow is predicted and the media acts as if the world is coming to an end.
