<quoted text>Um, I responded to your saying there will never be revenue. Once those houses are rebuilt, there will be.Permits still have to be filed etc., people still eat no matter who builds it . The cost savings for the buyer will be much more than just closing costs and the buyer will be getting a brand new home. The window for submitting an application is rapidly closing though, I believe you can get one from the village office. This is much better than watching a rotting hulk becoming one with the earth whilst the property taxes are not paid. P.S., I did not see Garys name on the ZC member list, perhaps you missed something ?
Building in the village will not be profitable as restriction on sq footage and setbacks will mean new apps will be more subject to who you know. Existing structures that u think are falling in have a foundation and septic and water main and are a much easier fix that a novice like u would think. The bid style will immediatly return it to the tax roll. You have no clue and find it funny how u just wing your answers . Comment on no grant writer and even better is Gary not on ZC what permits were pulled for his house and such being rebuilt . Also what fines did he recieve from public works for the boats all over and what site plans were filed for the rebuild as a percentage of demise means he has to start over but I guess no one saw wgat has been done so he gets a pass . Let them pillage the village those that voted for it deserve it

No those who voted for it deserve what we were promised - Limited Services - Tax Neutral - Town of Brookhaven Highway Department Road services - Less Section 8 - Less Sex Offenders - Neighborhood Road Revitalization. I would like to know when we get these things accomplished?

You must be joking. People are not lining up to build new homes in Mastic Beach. There are plenty of brand new homes owned by banks that can be had for way less than the cost of building new and they sit empty. Who is building houses here? The roads are a complete mess with no sign of any road improvements and every little storm brings massive flooding. You need a reality check.
No joke, me and triple b are arguing over the pros/cons of the recent AFFORDABLE housing program through LIHP. Trust me, I know all about the 'brand new ' homes around here. I've been looking at the half finished one across the street for the last six or seven years. Tell me, is a seven year-old house new ? By now it should be apparent to you that the severe flooding IS a new issue we all face due to the destruction of the barrier island. While the DEC fines the Village FOR fixing the worst of our roads, it gives its blessing to WEAKEN the barrier island during the height of hurricane season, all for political expediency. Its going to come out that the major breach directly across from our village was at the least partially caused by the ineptitude of the larger Governmental forces. No, I do'nt need a reality check, I'm up to my ears with reality (and water)!

Novice? yeah OK.You specifically said no new revenue would be derived from those ten parcels that will be built, you were wrong, again. Anyway, I disputed your contention about grant writers, etc. already and certainly riled you (remember ?).If your grant writing skills are as bad as your Topix postings, I can see why your dance card is empty. And finally ,Garys troubles and how he chooses to deal with them are not my problem, they are the building depts. problem. Have a nice day

My post try to make the village as if they are doing any good as you work for #2 I guess . I dont see that a tax for land value only is making me wrong . You spit out the dumbest statements . They lack any sense of knowledge of the subjects. You twist things that a incorrect road is good and Gary is ok to do what he wants as that his his business. Who said anything about my grant writing skills? You attempt to cloud issues and offer nothing more than dribble. You should take some time off to educate yourself on law, municipal contracts, budgets and the common sense you lack . Guess your head is a empty as my dance card and looking at the cows on franks tape I rather have it that way.

When we get rid of Gary and Carol in march and get some real people in there that want changes and not just talk and hiring of family members.

Thank you Brady! I actually really appreciate that you found the map. I do not understand any of the thinking behind the zoning of the pink, yellow and blue around the waterfront. i would love to go to these meetings but with a full time job and 3 young kids 6pm meetings on weekdays are pretty much impossible. I wish that they had some of these meetings on a Saturday and would put out a more people friendly public notice. Maybe have a half page in the paper not just a little blurb in the public notice section. Send us something in the mail. I voted for this village to be able to have more input but feel they are cutting the little people out.
Every word spoken at every ZC meeting is on audio files that you can listen to, download and save, they made it real easy to do!

<quoted text>I know for a FACT that they are once again trying to push through a law (re-zoning) that was never discussed with the residents of MBV.
FACT: TOB pumped the drains EVERY YEAR!
FACT: MBV has NEVER pumped ONE SINGLE DRAIN IN THE ENTIRE TIME THEY HAVE BEEN A VILLAGE!
FACT: ZONING is to benefit GARY, no one else!
Why are we still trying to change the waterfront Zoning to commercial when the only person that will benefit by this is THE ONLY PERSON WITH A BUSINESS ON THE WATERFRONT!!!!! And that is GARY STIRITZ! WOW whoopsing, what a coincidence that is, don't ya think?
Don't allow him to change our waterfront and vote this bum out in the spring!!!
Yes the tob would pump the drains till the cows came home, they never properly fixed them though until they were legitimately threatened. And there is more than one buisness on the water (you know that)but it sounds better when you direct your vitriol towards one of the hardest working members of the board. Its funny that with all the political advantage you guys had you still could not contain the village movement. It must be frustrating.

How does any of this pertain to Gary re-zoning the waterfront around his marina? You give Gary the legal means, and he will have a POS hotel built on his property that will sink into the wetlands.
