<quoted text>it will never be on the village website. they print the minutes according to themselves. minutes of meetings are supposed to be exact. they paraphrase the minutes. that is not right. mbv does what they want. i would like to minutes to reflect what was actually said at the meeting. an example is that it states that betty manzella was opposed to the term limits. she went postal. she said alot more than that. ditto with everyone else who spoke at the meeting. it is a very watered down version of the meeting. get a real stenographer to take the minutes.

It's "You're" a joke.

No, we want the village run properly, with proper representation for the people all done by VOLUNTEERS like the MBVEC promised us. What? We shouldn't get what the mbvec promised us with our village? The only one here that's a joke is you and all your loser mbvec friends.

i don't want them to spend more money. i want the person they hired to do the job correctly. she is already being paid. if she can't do the job, then get somebody who can.

did you see that starting february first we have to put our leaves in paper bags for them to pick up. this stinks. i am sure it is better for someone; but those paper bags cost three times as much as the plastic ones. for someone like me with a big property, this will cost some serious money. i don't remember anyone even bringing this up at any meeting. does anyone>?

Gary has talked about it a few times and they voted on it at the last workshop.
You can still use leaves bags if you bring it to the dump yourself, but you have to dump them out and put the bags in another bin.

Garys family probably owns the only landscaping co authorized to clean up leaves in Mastic beach village.Every owner should just sign your deed over to him because eventually he will own it anyway. He must go to sleep and deviously thinks of other way to aggravate the owners and businesses. What a piece of work.

Who would have thought that this would happen in a village? Imagine, 5 people deciding how we live our lives. THAT would NEVER happen here!
I guess forcing me to use paper bags helps to eliminate sec8 and sex offenders. Who knew?
Every time I go to the grocery store, I'm getting a stack of "paper bags", and this fall I will be throwing away about 500 bags of leaves. It doesn't say what size or whether they need to be tied shut. Enjoy picking those up guys!!!!!!

Enjoy reraking and repacking all your leave. Supermarket bags do not hold up when wet. So if it rains the week you put them out.......

Brookhaven Town is requiring the paper bags also. If I recall they did this several years ago and it was a huge mess with the bags breaking and the leaving all over the place.

that will be the villages problem. When they go the curb, the village has to deal with it. If the bags break, then they get pushed to the middle of the street.
This is more of an issue with the village making money by fining people who use garbage or leaf bags.(and you know they will) 5 people control our lives now, I guess you are ok with that, I'm not.

Heard they are going to start poking around garbage cans to check for recyclables that are required to be separated. That's fine with me (get it, I said fine).

Yeah, because we have a 5 million dollar budget that will only go up. How else are they going to make money except to fine everyone at least once for something stupid?

sounds like they may have to hire Magnum Brady P.I. for the job of investigating trash cans. He is the perfect candidate for that position. After all, he has started at the bottom polishing Gary's boots.

that will be tough for the village. paper bags cost twice as much as the plastic ones. i called around and found out that most village that require paper bags give up to 50 a year to residents and sell them the rest at a reduced cost. the village may not be raising the garbage tax, but this is a back door tax that we will all be forced to pay. all of the paper leaf bags don't hold up in rain.

Forget about rain. You wont even be able to put wet leafs in the paper bags. You will have to put them in your dryer first then bag them. That makes the same sense as using them.
