i think the school does not need the useless stadium lightsd on the field. they do not need high end police package cars to drive to the deli in, or home for lunch in. someone needs to get a grip on spending our money. My son can't even get a pencil he needs during a test, which was purchased with my tax money. they will give it to him if he leaves a shoe as collateral. what bullshit. so when the teachers send my kid home to say, make sure your parentsa vote, I say "HELL NO" not unless they want to take a big fat pay cut.

HELL NO vote no. the school has had too many vacations, stadium lights, high end police package cars that use too much gas, spend spend on all useless shit. I think we should oust the whole board and get a real group in there, a group that doesnt take vacations, eat lunches, and drive around with school verhicles that tax payers pay for. a school should provide tax payer pencils to the children that need them, and not ask for colatteral such as a shoe to borrow it, the friggin money came from us, give the kid the pencil. The next time a district credit card is used, I would like to hold that persons wallet, I should have more of a right to hold onto collatteral that you people at the school. you all make me sick, telling our kids to vote yes. i vote no. i never could figure out how when a vote is turned down, there is a re vote to see if it will pass the second time. It shouldn't be.No is NO, let the teachers do with a little less in their pockets, they dont need it, it doesn't go to the kids anyway. I would really like a breakdown of what my money pays for.....vacations, new computers to ake home and use, credit cards , I cannot wait to see when an audit is done and I hope you all squirm. I will be there laughing my ass off

How about the extra vacation days the teachers and administrators are getting this and next week! So it didn't snow this year. Couldn't they donate one or two out of three for extra work with the kids? This is a joke! They were out for a week just last month! and school is over in 4 more weeks! What a joke or school system. How can they allow their "talent" to be used so little? At least they could justify their raises saying they were willing to work one extra day! Vote a big NO. By the way enrollment is down 3.5% and budget up 5%. Umm vote NO! Enough of this abuse. Next year Longwood will be spending 22K per student! Where are the results? Bottom of the chart!

VOTE NO....What exactly is that extra 8 million going for? DO WE REALLY NEED 5 ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS IN THE HIGH SCHOOL? cmon now.....I work just as hard as them and I pay my own health insurance and gas. These people are robbing us blind and no one does a dam thing about it. I think its time Longwood residents stand up for a change.
Instead of complaining VOTE NO> Thats what Im going to do and I know for a fact no child will suffer because of it....FACULTY WILL BUT WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!! They make enough. Start teaching with the basics.a book, a blackboard and a pencil.

I can tell that you came from a district that had very little money. Perhaps if your teachers had been paid more, your writing skills would be better!!!
In response to the 'extra' vacation days, teachers work 183 days a year- every year. The vacation days just happen to fall differently this year. I suppose teachers need them because they are dealing daily with students that can't even remember to bring a simple writing utensil to class never mind being prepared with their homework.
In addition, if teachers were to work this vacation to babysit your child, you would need to pay at least 7 dollars an hour. With the 25 students per hour I work with for 7 hours a day, I would clear over 1200 today alone!!! Perhaps if you pay me an extra 3 dollars and hour I'd even throw in some education!!!!!
