You did not change over the 34 years. You were a treasure for me and our students in the Focus Program You played a special role in bringing success to a good number of students who would have been left by the roadside. You have done a lot of good in your life and knowing you, you will continue. God bless. Jack and Peg

Dear Kathleen Leahy,
Congratulations on your retirement .I had met you many years ago when my children attended Longwood. I had spoke to you about your Father He was the principal at Bicycle Path in Selden & You were in one or two of my classes. The apple does not fall far from the tree. He was a great man .He made school fun !! I remember he was in some of the school plays . What a talented man. All these years have passed & Only today I learn That my cousin Dennis had a connection to you . What a small world. I wish you all the best.

Wow, I was just browsing the internet and came across the article in Newsday about your retirement. Congratulations! You deserve it. You were a tremendous impact on my life. You alway gave me a second chance even when I did not deserve it. Jack (I still get a kick out of calling him that) was right in saying what a treasure you were to the Focus program. I learned so much from your classes that stay with me till this day and not just educational but in life as well. I have never forgotten your support. You always carried yourself with class and grace. I just wanted to take this moment and say 'Thank You' for all you did for me. Good luck to you in the future. I will always have a warm place in my heart for you.

Wow! What an altercation i had with u in 1990! RIP Jack, for you to me will never be forgotten, i spoke to u in 2003 when I found u listed in florida! You remembered the incedent well because you never thought i would graduate let alone graduate and join the marine corps! But i stuck it out and you told ya me i was a dark child full of light then! "Time heals all wounds" I told you! and "although our incedent was huge in longwood back then! Time healed the wound and you did what you had to at a time when racial tensions where very high in a messed up school but I survived it, and survived it well!" I wished you well in ur retirement and wished me well in life! R.I.P. Jack Fugel"WAAaANG" and i mean that now as a term of endearment!
