All this site has become is a handful of posters that have a personal hate for the mayor and not the job he is doing! They must bad mouth him because that's all they have the ability to do. The mayor has more dignity than all these people combined. They would be like a cock roach running to hide the second the light switch was turned on! Any adult would argue their ideas in the arena of ideas and let the public decide, not hide and name call on topix. That is the way our countries politics are designed, not to hide but to step foward and debate in public eye. I BELIEVE WE ALL KNOW WHY THEY CAN'T! This is not bad mouthing the haters but a CALL to them to step OUT and let your ideas be heard.Topix is a total waste of time, everyone on here thinks they are a comedian without a serious intent to help our city. With out a stake in the game your hollow comments on topix are just that.

And by the way, we all have freedom of speech, never said you can't speak your mind. Why pick topix to express your voice, think everyone knows why. It doesn't even need to be spoke why! THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE. Makes me smile!!!!!

Then why are you posting on here?
Thanks for the laugh. Not everyone has to agree with the Mayor. That doesn't mean they are haters. Sounds like you must be intoxicated by the green koolaid. Drink some more it's hot out there!

It makes me smile to know that one of the 10 followers of Mayor Mcbarnes does get on here and reads these posts. Whether you choose to admit it or not, there are some great truths and insights to what these people of opinion write on here.

And we all know that you report back to the other 9 so that makes me smile too.

Freedom of speech should only be reserved for the politically connected. Outsiders and haters should be banished. The peasant should bow when in the presence of their leaders.

May the privileged and elite among us rule with an iron fist and with no accountability.

I believe our leadership is too good for our populace.

It would seem the impetus for creating this nation is at odds with the precepts ostensibly ascribed by Mr Roaches "Anon" All.

I vehemently disagree with the roach.

It's my belief people are deserving of good leadership.

It's also my humble opinion the good people of Frankfort deserve much better leadership than they are currently receiving.

What do you think?

Oh my, who are you to call my family and friends pesants? If you are a political intity of our town I'm very disappointed. The good people of this city will never bow to anybody, in case you forgot this is a democracy not a parliament. I'm trying my hardest not to viciously shred you into a pile of pieces at this very moment because you are not my target nemesis, however, you bundle the entire city into your less than suitable statement and you left yourself vulnerable to attacks from every which way..

Just flabbergasted at your statement !!

That last statement was not mine,it was made by someone else. But very typical of what people on topix are truly about. HATE,yes hate! You have all the right in the world to disagree with the mayor, but you show your hate by making only personal attacks on him as a person. These are people who opposed him or didn't get a position they were after. They created a relationship with him just for personal gain. If you think his following is that small then you need only to throw your hat in the ring in 18 months. Leadership within the confines of topix, MAKES ME SMILE !

One more thing, politics should NOT be discussed by peons on Topix. Politics should only be discussed by the politically connected within the confines of the elegant ambiance of an exclusive country-club.

Cowards on here??? While their might be one or two, as a whole most people on here are looking to vent about how screwed up Frankfort and Clinton County Politics are.

It doesn't take a Ivy Tech or some other college grad to figure out that spending taxpayers money to remodel a facility that a company or educational institution can walk away from any time they want is not intelligent. If they have no ownership in the facility, then they have no attachment otherwise.

It doesn't take a Frankfort High School grad to figure out that we have a screwed up police force. Botched investigations, drug dealers being let loose because the throw out a couple of names, and a federal court issue looming over their heads are just the tip of the iceberg of issues that currently haunt the Frankfort Law Enforcement.

It doesn't take a Frankfort Jr High school attendee to figure out we have some serious financial problems as a result of the decisions that the B.o.W. and the mayor have made. The city council can lump themselves in with the mayor too as they refuse to put the clamps on him.

It doesn't take a Frankfort Elementary school attendee to figure out we have a problem within our community. The crappy houses that these kids walk by every day set the tone for their desire to leave Frankfort. Who wants to see their future remaining in this blight that has been allowed to fester within Frankfort??? I didn't so I moved my family out into the county.

It doesn't take a Frankfort retired person to see how screwed up things are as a whole in Frankfort and Clinton County. They have watched the Economic Development people buy land and land options up only to see them set, or worse yet, get torn down on the taxpayers dollars.

Lets not forget the dollars spent on Exide and Indiana Brass buildings. We all know that some of those funds came from the state and federal honeypots, but be reminded that our taxes feed those things.

Now before someone says show me this or that, this editorial comes from observations from various meetings and documents in the last 30 years that I have observed and read, so don't waste your time asking for anything. Get off your computer and investigate for yourselves and come back and report your findings and opinions that you formulate from them.

Very nice article, and you sir are very well informed. This so called "econimic" board has indeed bought up most of the buildings, the land and/or land options in the name of "economic" development. The only problem is, most, not all but most of the people on this board are extremely greedy and really could care less about economic development in this town UNLESS it involves linning there pockets with large amounts of money. Exhibit A, One only has to look at the old electro wire plant and the cesspool of an eyesore it has become. I hope this was a good buy for the so called "economic" board as now they will be cleaning up this pit when the business that now occupies the building leaves. This is called Karma. You truly do reap what you sow!

Let me take a stab at this...

Frankfort streets are there for more than city dwellers. Frankfort streets, like the county roads, are built, maintained, repaired, and occasionally rebuilt, but the all mighty tax dollars. That's us, you and me...

The Times doesn't seem interested in really upsetting the republican applecart. While democrats might not have the cleanest plate in the city or county, it would come to no surprise the waste of financial resources other than Ivy Tech fiasco that could be reported on if the paper would just act on what the reporters and publisher are being told while they are out in public.

As far as more people reading them, well you do have a point there. But that would not sway the Times one bit into pursuing the leads as it would require publishing things that are complete facts and that would not be acceptable to the current administration. And that's even if they would print it...

Want an example??? Well that's a silly question since you demand them. isn't it.

Why did the Times choose not to publish the 6 figure failure of Alive on 65? The publisher, as well as, various Chamber members received an electronic transcript (an e-mail) from Shan Sheridan indicating the loss. The Farmers Bank is carrying a loan for that bad decision.

Sharon Bardoner will tell people that she did not, but she will be lying to them.

When the Chamber publishes the tax paperwork for last year, that will give you even more proof.

In conclusion Mr. or Mrs. Punjab, I, as well as others in the community, are very well informed as to the goings on of the administration, the failures of managing finances and physical properties, and the cavalier attitudes of not only the elected deceivers of the people, but also the supporters (which are small in number, but for whatever reason powerful) of those elected.
While you might find trust in your administration, I find many of them to be haughty and not fit for overseeing the day to day operations of Frankfort and or Clinton County.

And before you start giving out your usual rhetorical responses, please remind yourself that what I offer here is an opinion based on what I have seen in meetings and read in documents. Perhaps it is you who should get out from your computer and do some courthouse investigating, join some administration committees, attend their meetings, and yes of course, join your local chamber and get your eyes and ears opened up to what many of us already see and hear.
