Why is the chamber wanting to lease space from the City of Frankfort's Old Stoney?

Didn't they buy their current property?

I believe that property was bought by CVS for their new facility so Chamber moved into Old Stony. As far as leasing I don't know how much but the Chamber is funded partially by tax dollars and the other by businesses that become members.

There doesn't seem to be any real estate transfer info listed on any county sites.

So is it really sold?

I'm not certain if the transaction has gone through yet. You can always call or go to the courthouse to find out. I was under the impression that George Ponton owned the house and property behind his office and all of that plus the Chamber was being sold to CVS. I could be wrong.

Why don't you just go ask someone at the Chamber? They would be glad to tell you!

Are you serious, who the hell wants to be lied to? That would be like asking the devil if he loves Jesus...

Popular thing on topix by the retards is to through out a topic to "stir the pot" or start bad mouthing things. What it shows is there are only a few who agree with them. The same hand full, and I mean only a hand full of posters. Don't know but I am getting tired of reading the same people arguing back and forth. By the lack of NEW people getting involved on topix I would say so is the rest of our town! Maybe this town is smarter than these people think!!!!!

The Chamber is giving a portion of the parking lot for the building of CVS - to allow for enough parking space. The Chamber will keep ownership of the building and the lot south of the Chamber building. Wabash Valley, the current lease agent, will also stay on the Chamber building.

The house behind Ponton's law office is owned by Travis and Gina Sheets.

All you have to do is go ask the Chamber.
