I was in our Wal-Mart today and in a little of a hurry. There was 2 checkout lanes open. One of them being the speedy 20 items or less. I stood in that line for 23 mintues waiting to check out. The couple in front of me had well over 100 items, and just as the lady started to ring them up, the lady says she forgot something and takes off in the store. The man continues to check out, the cashier is done with the order, but the lady hasn't come back yet, the man has no money and can't pay the bill, so we all wait for the lady to return,,,,,,,with NOTHING. Walks up doesn't say sorry or anything, just pays and leaves,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, There are 2 rants here. How can this couple think its alright to go through the wrong lane,,, hold everyone up, because these lanes are not equipted to put that much groceries on the counter, so it really a hardship on the cashier, what makes them think their so special that they don't have to go by any rules or polices,, There JUST RUDE.. second Rant.. I'm sick and tired of entering the Walmart and seeing lines winding clear back through the clothes isle because there are only 2 checkout open, yet the have 16 checkouts, not counting the self check outs....... Manager wake up,,,, I can see a letter to the corporate office

My husband and I were out there a couple of Sundays ago and waited at least 20 minutes to check out. Then we were there this past Saturday afternoon...same thing. I went back out there yesterday morning and still the same. I guess I don't understand what is going on. It never used to be that way! Maybe they need to hire some help? I don't know but it's almost quicker to run to Lebanon or Lafayette. And I agree that the fast lane is exactly that...a fast lane not to be used by people that are buying lots of items but considering what is going on they probably feel like they don't have a choice! Good idea about contacting the Manager or maybe better yet..headquarters!

That place always has been and will be a joke. Call 1-800-Walmart they are required to have a store manager follow up within 24 hours. What ticks me off the most is they NEVER have items in stock. They shelves sit bare. Lebanon store isn't much better. It's the WALMART way!

Perhaps you should try one of the locally owned stores. Schultz's or the other Hispanic stores would love to give you the customer service that you desire.

"walter" THAT is why Wal-mart put in all the Self-Check outs. That way you can Check yer Self out and they don't have ta hire any more help ta pay benefits OR as a matter a FACT they can Lay OFF help cause NOW they are a Makin YOU check yer OWN groceries cause they are only openin 2 lines! You get ta either stand in line with people that have 100 items or check yer self out! I REFUSE ta check myself out I MAKE them have lines back through the clothes so they'll get the idea they need ta open a few more cashiers! "David" The Shultz thing would be Nice if we could afford their extreemly high prices. The hispanic stores would be nice if ya can read Spainish! MOST of the groceries: cans, boxes etc are in Spanish. Been there done that!

Sometimes when they only have 2 lanes open you have to go to the 20 items line with more then 20 items. I think everyone is tired of having to go there. They need to hire more workers. I am starting to think if I have to wait in line for 30 min. I should just drive to lafayette and get lower prices.

Meanwhile, tragedy has struck Oklahoma and "Walter" is crying about waiting in line while children and families have been torn apart. Narcissism has a new name, and his name is Walter.

Why would any body wait 30 min at the Frankfort Walmart when Lafayette is just down the road a bit? Lafayette Walmart offers pricing that is usually 10% less and with more selection and a cleaner store. I know that everyone will scream that gas is too expensive but gas is usually 10-15 cents a gallon cheaper in Lafayette as well. I do very little shopping in Frankfort for the above mentioned reasons. Besides I know some people that work at the Frankfort Walmart and the Managers there seemingly are only concerned about hiring "good looking" females. It's a lot like several other places in Franktucky, it needs to be cleaned out.

A similar situation happened to me on Sunday, a person in front of me had about 40 items in the express lane. Then they had to divide up the items in 2 orders because some were paid with food stamps and the rest with cash.

Why Wal-Mart doesn't enforce a limit at the express lanes is a mystery.

And like nu-viewy I refuse to use the self-checkout lanes. It's just a blatant attempt to reduce the employee count and force the customers to shoulder more work. Maybe if they would give me a 5%-10% discount for using the self-checkout lanes I would consider it. Until then prompt customer service is not too much to ask.

That's all well and good if you are driving to Lafayette to buy a week's worth of groceries or so. But is it worth the time and gas for just a gallon of mile and some batteries?

As for your gas comment, I filled up last Friday in Frankfort for $3.59 a gallon. Then drove to Lafayette. The price was $3.88 at every gas station I passed.

Tell me,, has your life ceased to exsist because yet another tragedy has struck planet Earth. Could My mere actions have stopped the TRAGEDY. What has happened there was indeed a tragedy,,, and Im sure that there are other tragedies on the horizon, but life still goes on,, people still shop, go to work, eat, shit, complain, have sex, spend time on their computers, and read the meaningful words that assholes like you like to condem people for being REAL.. Go back to your hole
