What price education? What price a future for the adults, young and old, of Clinton county?

Nothing positive comes without risk. The risk averse nature of certain individual on this forum is backward and frankly, sickening. They must love living in a hole.

"They must love living in a hole".

Why would you say this about Frankfort? I like Frankfort and have lots of friends here.

What would be the price the city/county should spend? Is it unlimited because as you say you can't put a price on education? Does the city go broke? Does the city neglect other major issues that need attended to? Do we put all the money into IVT because its education? When do you stop spending Punjab, until the money is gone? Let us know Punjab, as you seem to be the one that doesn't care about the price of education, what is that magic number?

I trust in the decisions made by my locally elected government officials.

What price? How about the price of bonds? How about the potential price of another remodeled but empty building only at the taxpayers expense instead of the private party's?

You speak of this "education". Need I remind you that you will not fulfill your education at this Frankfort Ivy Tech leased facility? That you will be asked to go to another place for that?

The Frankfort Library took a risk for Ivy Tech. We all know how that has played out.

Risk versus reward... Most people get that. But when you use a logical argument of not being able to finish what you start locally, tapping the city and county coffers for a "lease"project, and knowing that this project was basically driven by a select few who obviously have personal reasons for seeing this thru, there is way to much risk.

What I find particularly alarming about your statement Mr. or Mrs. Punjab, is you choose to insult a person who does not agree with your view. I believe I read somewhere here that you are in the I.T. Field. I certainly hope you don't have that same attitude towards customers who don't embrace your solutions to their web page issues.

I bid you good day

I don't, so I guess we are entitled to our opinions... And no, I won't run for an office, however I will vote differently next time..

It was a great idea but with idea's and vision's you have to have the support and funding to see your visions flurish. Ivy tech was in frankfort some time back at the local library and there was little to no students that attended. I have to ask why our community leaders did not research the reason why. Now our community has invested alot of tax dollars and those tax dollars are very important in today's economy and shoud be used with caution. I'm not saying education is not important but there is a limit to everything. Our community lost alot of money with "Live on 65" let's step back and take our time and make sure that the money we spend is going to produce revenue for our community. I would think that our time and money would be better spent in generating revenue. Have to also ask our community leaders about why FEDEX did not build here in clinton county instead of Boone County or should I ask if we even knew anything about it and if not why not. A community can not grow with revenue that is basic 101 economic's. Let's quit racing to make a name for ourselves and pushing through agenda's and start doing research and fact finding before spending tax dollars. This is just my opinion and an opinion does not make me a hater it makes me someone that beleives in democracy. Good things come to those that wait and have patience.

Ivy Tech has been up front about that from the start.

Education has to start somewhere. Only positive outcomes can come from a dedicated Ivy Tech facility in Clinton county.

You know, for an individual who claims to be an Information Technology person, you certainly are not well informed are you.

Perhaps you might provide us, the people who continue to waste our time reading and responding to your rhetoric, with a verified list of the things that will truly benefit us, the taxpayer, as it pertains to the ridiculous spending of the elected officials that you trust.

Thank you

It isn't and you and I know that.

Punjab is intoxicated with koolaid and will never get it. Plus he seems to give grief to anyone who doesn't align themselves with his unrealistic world of reality.

In his world, he is always right and the rest of us are stupid.

Your either a part of the solution or part of the problem. I don't personally know anyone of the posters on here who are condemning the IVY project and that's fine with me.Their desire to stay anonymous I can appreciate. Action will always speak to the truth. We are watching a administration that is trying to move our city forward. I have been on here for a few years now and have came to the conclusion that they offer nothing.

Why is offering a limited curriculum to start at Ivy Tech Frankfort a bad thing? Individuals can attend classes close to home, saving them travel time & money, and those introductory courses will help individuals come to a decision on what career field they wish to pursue. Not everyone knows what they want to do coming out of high school.

The outright distrust, fear, and hatred of a college-level education facility coming to Clinton county is shocking. These people are hell bent on living in the past, where getting a job at Frito-Lay or Federal Mogul is the pinnacle of their professional achievements.

You know??? It's really funny that you can't really answer questions given to you. Instead you continue to ask more questions.

No one is "hell bent on living in the past" as you say. We are not wanting to see the city and county go broke! Can't you see that?

In reality, people want better things for their kids than they had or have. But leaving them debt is not one of them.

You and a handful of others will never understand that what you are asking for right now, actually what you got would be a better statement, is going to cost us dearly. A few more buildings destroyed, a few more million dollars pissed away, and students who will ultimately be at another campus to fulfill their educational degree.

All this, to "enhance downtown"??? All this, to make a few people look good? That's not what I asked my officials to do. I voted and asked them to represent me. Just as the other voters did. They promised they would. They did not. I will remember that.

I sense that you have issues when someone gives a valid argument that disputes your point of view. I certainly hope that when your clients ask you to change the templates on their webpages that you respect their requests instead of treating them like you do some people on topix.
