Sounds like the people of Indiana need to have a demonstration to make our voices heard loud and clear! Its time WE THE PEOPLE got off of our butts and did something about this. Lets not sit by and watch our country be destroyed. Is there no fight left in anyone? Who is with me on this?

I'm sorry but immigrants aren't the destruction of this country. The exporting of our good jobs to China is the destruction of our country. We are shedding all the jobs that made this country what it is. Compared to the outsourcing of our textiles and manufacturing this immigration thing is nothing more than a common cold.

Instead of worrying about the immigrants doing the jobs that most Americans won't do why not worry about the jobs that Americans want to do but have been denied due to this pathetic global outsourcing.

If we want immigration reform we must unite and let the legislature know we mean business. The voting booth is our only recourse to fight for the rights of the citizens of Indiana. We must not let the ILLEGAL RESIDENTS and their lobyists stay in control!

Wrong answer Dan! The problem starts here...at home. I know plenty of people here that will do those jobs that the so called people of America wont do!! I am tired of spending my money on people that are breaking the laws of this country! Legal Americans that are denied my help from the taxes I pay because it goes to someone that broke the law and came here in the wrong manner. I am not alone on this... Just count the people that posted on this subject and you will see that we are the majority. By the way Dan... I am not speaking about the immigrants, I am speaking of the LAW breakers...That is what this is about!

The crooked employers who hire illegal immigrants applied pressure to our state lawmakers to kill this bill against the will of the vast majority of the hoosier people. What does that tell us about Indiana business people? What does it tell us about our state lawmakers? Scary huh.

Mary Jane says t he Hispanics learned a big lesson. Instead of that lesson being that they should respect our laws, the lesson learned according to Mary Jane was: we will be ready for this debate next time. Ahh, the arrogance of the illegal Hispanic community. they have just been even more emboldened as of last evening.

Further proof that the will of the people is not represented by some of our elected disgraces. The interest of foreign nationals and their advocates is more important to them than the interests of US citizens. Translation, "we've listened, we've heard your demands, now screw you, we'll do what WE want!" For this translation in pandering Spanish, Oprima Numero Dos.

Right. That is why we should stand up and do something about this. We have the power if we unite. Why should anyone turn their backs on anything that is illegal? The U.S. government will only allow so many people in each year (that do it the right way) for a reason. We can only help so many people. We can vote these idiots out of office and I hope we will but we also need to be heard on a larger level. We need to be seen that we are not going to take this now...or at election time. That will get them thinking. We cant compete with the payoffs and the corruption but we can make ourselves heard and seen. I am willing to bring at least one hundred people that would be more than happy to show up. Our time is now...lets not let this go away without a fight.

So now the illegals have more say than the tax paying citizens! And they will be preparing for the next battle? What on earth is going on with our state/country? Citizens need to speak up and act NOW. Vote these worthless politicians out!!!!

Gonzalez, this is our country, the ones who have fought , died and paid taxes to support our values, Illegals are felons and should be treated accordingly as well as anyone who hires or harbors them. It is time for all good men to come to the aid of our country.

what struck me as odd was the fact that a dead cat was a bigger headliner in this mornings edition of the indianapolis birdcageliner star , than was an issue of the magnitude of this bill. i am very very proud of the lawmakers of indiana for ignoring the voice of the people . i am also quite proud of the fact that they have willingly empowered the illegals in our state as well. congratulations to sen. delph for his effort . dont give up and you fought a good fight.

Our lawmakers are corrupt cowards, owned by cash paying lobbyists. A bill of this nature is the will of the legal residents of the state of Indiana. The politicos looked the other way and took the cash.
