Disconnect the sewer and potable water connections to your home, and start walking everywhere you go Fred.

Then take a walk to the courthouse to record your deed, only to find out that the courthouse no longer exists, Fred.

Sick of your wife and need a divorce Fred? Ooops...No DR Court either.

Toaster malfunction and your house burning down, Fred? Looters showing up and removing your possessions while your trying to put it out with the garden hose that has no water? Don't call the police or fire departments Fred. They don't exist.

Oh...and you can't sue the toaster manufacturer...no court. Oh...and despite the fact that you paid your insurance premiums, Allstate declined your claim because they lost all their money in the stock market, and you can't sue em...no courts. And the state no longer regulates insurance companies, because you fired all the regulators.

Life's great in Rushville, isn't it Fred. Just kick back in the shed, and cook a chicken on the grille.

And just what do your examples PRODUCE? NOTHING. Do they add to the GDP? No. They are necessary, but they are not engines of economic progress.
Think you can process that?

If you think processing water in either direction produces nothing, you are an idiot.

If you think the value of government services necessary to modern life and peaceful, organized society bear no relation to GDP you are an idiot.

For the second time...those services are necessary, but they produce NOTHING that adds to GDP. BTW, the private sector can do just about everything the government can. Ever been to a pharma manufacturing plant? They process water in both directions that makes the government efforts look like an exercise in germ warfare.

Not really.

"Under the table" personal income sources are much more prevalent than many people presume.

For instance, drug dealers who do nothing other than deal drugs, are not "unemployed", and neither are those who earn money collecting scrap, panhandling at interstate exits in downtown Akron, or making money in a whole variety of methods whereby their income goes unreported to the government.

Fred. Go look up any economist's definition of GDP.
