Reversing our reform minded BOE majority new philosophy of Children First Budgeting to business as usual union first budgeting, is no way to manage our $54 million tax-payer funded school district budget.
The bullying politics of personal destruction of our reform minded BOE elected officials, which Babb for Boro union activists and Bitter Bowman Bloggers are promoting throughout our school district, is an example of OEA/OSBA irresponsible indoctrination
of school board members and school administrators, including Don Miller and Ron Malone, to just do what the school superintendent says; and turn a blind eye to the harmful illusion of "just proficient" being rated "excellent with distinction."
(now where's the lol in that failure...eh?)
Change to the BOE is coming and praise be to that! Anyone, who sides in one man's (or woman's) camp beware as the train might leave the station without ya!

The community will win back its school system in November.

Long live the democratic process.

You most certainly will be needing to conjur up a more apropos campaign slogan.
No Springborian in their right mind would consider sliding back toward the agendas of Baker, Colston, Thomsen, Anderson, or Kruse...to consider it "BOE reform"

Just one more "lapdog for the union bullies" still "just sitting" on the the board, voting AGAINST our children first.
Don Miller is the last ONE of the FAB FIVE (Miller,Thomsen,Trifaro,Kruse, Colston) that needs to be voted out of elected office as board representative.
Don Miller and previous school district leaders (before 2009) refused to act in the best interest of our students and our parents; yielding their leadership to the OEA/OSBA indoctrination that "highly paid union teacher in every classroom" is our child's most important resource; and that promotion of false budget crisis and a continuous stream of unnecessary levies is necessary to hold parents hostage over things like activities fees and school transportation.
Now that Springboroians know the truth about this OEA/OSBA indoctrination of board member Don Miller, it is our responsibility, in the best interest of our school children and the future of our community, to elect only REFORM MINDED "children first" board representatives in November 2013.

Forced Unionism is a disgusting evil!

Given the latest news from Michigan regarding the passing of Right to Work legislation in that state it is encouraging to know that Ohio is right behind them. No longer should teachers be coerced into to participating in an organization that contradicts many teachers moral convictions. See links below. Forced unionism is a Marxist philosophy and has no place in Springboro. Yes a teacher can opt out but must still pay a large portion of the Membership dues. How about giving the teachers the ability to opt out and and pay nothing.

The Pro Union thugs that attend your meetings undermine and interfere with the Board's efforts of promoting fiscally responsible Pro Student/tax Payer initiative’s. The noise they make always leads back to what’s best for the teachers union interests with little concern for the Student or the Tax payer. Please understand I am thankful for the many great teachers in Springboro, it’s the Union who we have issues with.

Please do not cave to their Thug Tactics, the Community is behind you and appreciate your efforts to be fiscally responsible. Unelected Union Sympathizers have no platform to constantly harass the BOE members as they are neither Staff nor Union Members. As Union puppets their only purpose is create division and discontentment within the Schools and Community.

The best thing that can happen is to make Right to Work a Law here in Ohio and it is coming. http://www.10tv.com/content/stories/2012/12/1...

Check out what the NEA/Teachers Union stands for regarding Homosexuality, Liberal and Christian viewpoints. In my opinion Teachers Unions are like affirmative action, they force employers to compensate groups of individuals based on the demands of the group rather than individual performance/contributions. It is insulting to individual liberty and personal responsibility and is basically a legal form of extortion. Do we really want organizations with these kinds of radical agendas shaping our schools ideology?

Regarding the ability to read, we have a board member with the initials D.M. who may have serious difficulty in attaining a 6th grade rating of proficient.
Our children's future individual achievements in education can accelerate no higher than the VISION that parents, teachers, community members, and school board representatives set forth as the mission of this school district.
While Mr. Miller focused on the wasteful spending of investing in a feasibility study that could return in benefits for our children’s future; it should be noted that money is not the only resource that we should be watchful not to waste.
What about the waste of time and unproductive service rendered to our schools and community by Springboro Board of Education representative, Don Miller?
Just as we expect a year's growth in the achievements of our children at the end of the school year; shouldn't taxpayers expect a year of growth in the leadership of our educators and elected school board representatives? Why is Don Miller starting out his 2013 year of service as BOE representative exactly the way he started out in 2012-- just voting No No No on every opportunity to show himself as a leader who puts our children's best interest priority over the politics of personal destruction undermining the children first budgeting school board members achievements for our children's future?
It is troubling to see members of our school superintendent's district parent council (including Lisa Babb and Tiffany Carlisle) led by board member Don Miller, conducting these time wasting, disgusting, collective public protests against Springboro Board of Education members, such as community members witnessed at the January 10 meeting;
because one of the school superintendent's district goals for his parents council is:
"Establish an environment of trust and transparency with community, staff, and the Springboro Board of Education."
I would ask Mr. Petrey why in the world is his chosen few union activists doing anything except wasting time and resources with their relentless apolitical agenda of dividing the Board of Education leadership and conquering for political gain of empowering the Teachers Union?
It could be that Mr. Petrey should evaluate this performance that his teaching staff and district parent council presents
to Springboro families and taxpaying homeowners;
and address this disruptive behavior being carried on throughout our community by school staff members, PTO moms, and parent council members; before he and Don Miller and Tracy Jarvis bring up getting that emergency levy on the ballot as fast as you can, regardless of the cost to taxpayers.
Don Miller was so embellished with excitement and empowerment of the bully union activists kind that he accelerated the "no tax increase Renewal Levy" to an emergency levy! Big difference, Mr. Miller. The only emergency on the 2013 school district ballot will be excusing you and your "no vision nor inspiration" lack of leadership as a board representative.
The above post was dated January 12, 2013.

Look at today and the future January 9, 2014 Board of Education meeting:

Inquiring Minds question IF our retired educators, Ron Malone and David Stuckey, plan to disrupt the progress made by our school district leaders and Board members in the past two years, working together in the direction of our 21st century education new VISION of REFORM? Will our retired educators, Ron Malone and David Stuckey, disrupt the board room as elected officials, continuing their protests against our Children First, fighting WITH the SEA members/Union Activists, AGAINST Springboro Taxpayers, in their Allegiance to
"re-instate Malone's PAST failed practices" of running our high school like a union shop;
with wasteful Misallocation of district and taxpayer resources?
