How do you propose that the fire department not cut services to the people, also cut expenses, and not put on a levy?
Show me how you suggest they keep paying for the services they provide (their budget is in in the millions, lets call it $5 million annual budget). Their fund is out of money, they operate in a deficit every year already. And now no more money coming in, in the form of a new levy.(i.e. lets say they currently take in 3 mill in funds each year with 5 mill expenses, so they're in a 2 mill deficit annually).
Please do the math, lets see your suggestion. I am sure they would love to have an alternate funding source besides asking the community for money. So instead of both sides on here wasting the bandwith arguing with each other, just show me how you suggest the fire district can solve their budget.
Show me the math, show me the facts, lets see it...
And please for the love of god don't suggest the same crap we've heard for nearly 400 posts...cutting wade, gabbard, conspiracy theories etc etc etc. If you actually do go to the twp meetings/read the minutes you would know that the Clearcreek Fire District doesn't operate out of the township general fund. They have their own seperate budget and cannot use the twp general fund. So saving money for the TWP wouldn't change the FD's budget, at all.

Only a true moron would believe that a service we are unwilling to fund will still be there when we need it most. If you don't believe me, cancel your insurance and try filing a claim and see what happens. Just say no way to the haters and those jealous their cronies didn't get elected, and YES TO ISSUE 3!

Learned some good stuff, things for posting. Didn't realize it had been so long since the last levy. My kids were in preschool last time and now they're driving themselves to the high school. I can support this.

Where is the budget?

...and by the way, concerned citizens encouraging one another to hold on to your money is not "crap."
We need to continue these posts telling our government leaders that our household budgets do not allow us to invest more of our family home into government services.

Also, why are you bullying on this blog that homeowners
work out a way to "fix the fire budget?" Isn't that the job of township admininstrators? Why bully homeowners to just vote increased taxes, because that is the easiest way to fix the budget?

And do you realize that school district taxpayers are already supporting the cost of providing students bus transportation to the high school...

and guess what?.....; Now the school superintendent is already drumming up "his need for new money" in school taxes to provide additional parking spaces for the high school? There is simply no end to local government agencies' agendas to continue draining dry the homeowner's resources in the government's quest to "care-take" us all into poverty....

As for me and my household of voters, we cannot support increased taxes being levied on our family and our neighbors; just because those "wealthy ones among us" ignore INDIVIDUAL FAMILY needs and responsibilities, in pursuit of "collective increased taxes for the government."

We agree with the Clearcreek township trustee who voted NO INCREASED TAXES ON OUR FAMILY HOMES; and YES TO CUTTING
GOVERNMENT EXPENSES. Hold On To Your Money; Just say No Way In May to Increased Taxes on our homes.

As a productive member of society and taxpaying homeowner, who is already "rendering to the township government" MORE taxes than are due; there is no way that, VOTING NO NEW TAXES, is in any way, trying to avoid civic responsibility.

It may be true that the "Clearcreek Fire District doesn't operate out of the township general fund"....BUT it is also true that Clearcreek Township Trustee, Ed Wade, DOES operate out of general fund... to fund the purchase of personal property from trustee Jason Gabbard; to fund $270,000 to Springboro parks; and when the township fiscal officer recommends that the township government has over-collected taxes from township homeowners and has a surplus big enough to give taxpayers a break; Mr. Wade replied that the government could use the money better than than the homeowners who earned the money.

Ed Wade and Jason Gabbard are the only two trustees who voted for INCREASED TAXES on our homes; Only one trustworthy trustee voted to protect our families from increased taxes on our homes and voted to cut expenses. As was mentioned in public township meeting; when homeowners vote NO TAX INCREASES ON OUR HOMES IN MAY, the first expense that should be cut is the $84,000 plus annual salary of the unnecessary position of second fire chief assistant. It is just a start in fixing the budget; but many of us that are opposing increased taxes agree that our township government CAN be more accountable to taxpayers; IF we step back with NO NEW TAXES and just allow them to do their jobs of serving the public; while living within our means, with no tax increase on our homes.

You say the pro levy people are bullying I was on this blog early on and believe me I was bullied but not by the pro levy it was all the folks that are against the levy, so much to the point I have been staying quiet but I needed to voice this.

Look at the facts and if your honest and can remove the dislike of a couple trustees you may see that this Levy is needed but you know it is your choice and right to do as you please that's what makes this county so great.

And if you feel bullied by anything I said let apologize up front I did not mean anything that way.

The Public Record post is NOT the "handywork" of the elected official that you threaten here.
The one who posts as "Who is this Morrow Ohio" obviously "suspects" that Public Record information is hidden from the the public; and only elected officials have access.
What paranoia is that?
And "Who is this" among us with such sickness of mind to "threaten" an elected official?
Springboroians are well advised to VOTE against this type of blogger's bitterness of blabber.
