“There's been a lot of praying going on”

I cannot not tell you how happy I am for this boy and his family. I don't know them but I never felt that he was guilty - something wasn't right- I kept praying for something to surface to show his innocence and it did. Thank our Lord that it surfaced sooner rather than later. Sorry they had to go through this nightmare but something positive will come out of this trial. It always does.

He's still a 20-year-old who had sex with a 16-year-old. What he did is still not legal. And had she been 15 instead of 16, he'd been charged with Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor (a fourth degree felony) and he'd have to register as a sex offender.
That "boy" need to keep it in his pants and stop having sex with minors.

I agree with Umm to a point - but this girl is also just as guilty - 16 years old - she is no innocent here. No crime was comitted. She could easily be viewed as an adult if she had comitted a crime - It would be a crime to ruin this young man's life over this.

Last I checked, he was being charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, a misdemeanor. Sounds like a crime to me.
While I agree it takes two to have sex, especially consensual like it was, it still doesn't change the fact that he is 20 and she is 16. That is illegal. Didn't you ever learn that as Christians, we are to obey the "law of the land?"
He is not guilty of rape, but I'll say again: Had she been one year younger (or realistically only a couple months younger) he would have a whole lot of problems on his hands.

Text messages have apparently proven that it was consensual, according to some official reports. One year later, I still don't understand why this lets him off the hook. It apparently just means that she was the one to come onto him. In fact, I say that SHE raped HIM! That must be it!
Had it been just a typical high school graduate, and not a "star football player", I bet the general population would side with the young lady.

It was proved the girl lied about the allegation, did NOBODY notice that the girl was NEVER charged with anything? She is guilty under the law, its called Obstruction of Justice, in some area's its a Felony to lie to a Police Officer and make up a false police report.
But that goes to show you in Warren County they are de-criminalizing people who want to lie against someone to get revenge or sympathy.
I know a lot of people who have done time for something they never did, the accuser recants, and the accuser never gets time or anything against them including civil action.
