So I really don't know where you stand because yesterday you said you were more libertarian than anything else but then today you support every social experiment the government dreams up and you love ObamaCare too.

DustyOutlaw wrote: <quoted text> that doesn't change the fact that if she is unhappy with the breakfasts being provided by the school she could get her ass up half an hour earlier and make her kids breakfast. Imagine. 3 fried eggs, white toast with gobs of real butter, hash browns covered in gravy, 4 slices of bacon and some whole milk to wash all those calories down. She could send her poor little deprived white trash off to school so loaded down with calories he could sleep right thru to last bell. Oh, yeah, I agree. Nonetheless, governments could cut nutritional funding to most schools and they'd be fine.

DustyOutlaw wrote: <quoted text> That's correct. I am old. And I sleep about 5 hours a night. But I get by on a thousand calories in a 19 hour day and you're talking about 800 calories for 7 hours spent sitting in a desk. And only about 3% of the students are athletes. If they were powered up at home for breakfast (remember, the most important meal of the day) then they should be good to go until they get home that afternoon with 800 calories. Only true for some of the kids dusty. The athlete's may have a 3 hours practice to contend with before they get to come home. Some on the track team run several miles before going home. Then we have those skinny kids who probably don't get to eat dinner who are surviving now on 800 calories a day. But don't worry about all the food thrown away I'm sure some pig farmer somewhere in your area is benefiting from the spoils.

We are not going to let you dance away from this while you made all this noise about Planned Parenthood and the Republican House took all those votes on women's reproductive rights. And our own Oklahoma Congress wanted to stick up the vaginal probes up a woman vagina if she dares to want an abortion. No you guys have made your bed and your going to lie in it.
We are for gay rights and their ability to get married. We are putting in our platform and not running away from it. We stand loud and proud.
But you guys make all kinds of noise about abortions and just voted about a couple of hours ago reaffirming their commitment to making it if Republicans are elected the law of the land will make abortions illegal with no exceptions.
We have already had Mittens state that he was for abortions and give us the sad story about a family member that died after a botched abortion. And now he stated his support for a law that states that a fertilized egg has the same rights as a human being, even more that the woman who carries it. He's trying to back out of it now and so is his VP Paul Ryan.
No more etch a sketch from you guys. Your on the record. Live with it.
No dancing away from this. That is what your party represents: No abortions and no exceptions. End of story.
We're going to talk about this right here right now. Your not burying this because 'Gee, we're running for office' and man this is not to popular with the voters, especially women. Tough. Complete lack of empathy bc we don't want to kill babies??? Lol!!

If a kid in Oklahoma gets dinner (oh wait, you hicks call it supper don't you?) at all, chances are he gets around 3-4000 calories right there every day and then sits around playing video games.(so how is that Bubba shoots a black man video game?) You're number 8 (if you haven't moved up since I last saw) most obese state in America. And you're sniveling over 800 calories for a 7 hour day? Holy Moly you people are pigs. You may be okay with the govt telling rationing food to your kids, but I'm not so... Stick it , sunshine :)

I wish Republicans were of the mind you would like to paint them to be but no such is the way it is.
A lot of Republicans like Newt's idea of orphanages. It's BC we want people to be responsible for their OWN KIDS

asdf wrote: <quoted text> It's BC we want people to be responsible for their OWN KIDS Here's a thought. How about you be totally responsible for your own kids. Home school them. Then they could pork out at lunch all you want. MY tax dollars go to the schools. I don't want those fat asses putting back 2,000 calories at lunch. That's unhealthy. So my opinion matters just as much as yours does. And I dare say I pay a hell of a lot more taxes than you do.

Simply pointing out that my support for a war on obesity is not inconsistent with a libertarian position. The Libertarians have very few positions except for getting government out of everything. I say if we have to feed them at school then they should be given low calorie high nutrition food. Otherwise screw it. Shut the cafeterias and let the know it all parents pack a lunch again or whatever the hell they want to do about their kids. If they don't care about their kid's health I damn sure don't.

School boards can't please everyone of you loud mouth hicks. You all want something different. In case you haven't noticed we have a fiscal disaster underway and have had for about 10 years now. DustyOutlaw wrote: <quoted text> My question is this. When is this country going to stop letting the vast majority be thrown to the wayside to placate the needs of a few? Yes athletes need more food. But I don't give a rats ass about the needs of high school football stars. They make plenty of money off those kids playing ball. Let them set up training tables for them just like colleges do. 800 calories a day while in school for those fat whales is plenty. This is the same argument I gave against Obamacare. The vast majority of the populace did not want it. Even Pelosi said the number of people without insurance was less than 50 million. There are aaround 320 million of us....so why shoukd the majority be harnassed to a gigantic budget expense for the sake of less than a sixth of the population. Talk about a waste of money and an absurd amount of control over the people. It's a cradle to grave tax to get less than a sixth of the population on insurance. Seriously!

Socialized medicine is coming. There is no other way. Our Health care is the most expensive in the world, the services deteriorate every year while costs rise. We have the most expensive but the world's 12 rated medical system. I don't care what you right wingers like about socialized medicine. It's coming. Might as well get used to it. And 50 million people is the tip of the iceberg. Millions are joining those numbers every year due to the rich corporations killing off benefits with "part time workers". Your analogy is apples and oranges. 3% of students are athletes. Not the same thing.

You could stop a great deal of wasteful pork by getting rid of the Department of Education and the National Education Association. Both are liberal bullshit institutions. Those beauracracy funds would be better spent by each state in their own school systems.

When you right wingers talk about getting rid of "liberal institutions" you are talking about creating a dictatorship. I believe there are good liberal things and good conservative things. Checks and balances buddy. Check and balances. I don't support liberals running everything, certainly not the military on the ground for instance. I do not support dictatorships.
