In a "Third World Banana Republic", this is the status Quo.

It is only when you live here and follow Miami Cuban politics do you realize the extent of the corruption and how self serving they are with total disregard for what USA stands for BUT like the saying my abuelo tells me "Si votas por un cubano no llores cuando hay corrupcion".
"If you vote for a Cuban do not cry when there is corruption"
My Cuban grandfather
Castro this and Castro that and we can't even run real gvmt here without the FBI's constant intervention.
I actually do not vote on any political party here , only anyone who is NOT Cuban whether born in Cuba like me or born here but from Cuban parents like Miami-Dade County Commissioner Bruno Barreiro .
I do not feel ALL are or were crooks in the past but "only" the VAST MAJORITY and with ZERO political standards here, you can't go by arrests because what is considered corrupt in any other city is usually not even unethical here (ESP Hialeah).

Oh yes Armando would easily win and in a close race against another white Cuban he would throw in a few "Cuba libre" type empty chants and they ALWAYS work.
The Cuban community that doesn’t care about corruption when it casts its vote was critically portrayed by most leading city columnists and others, Cuban and otherwise. Robert Steinback, a Black Miami Herald columnist, said the Cuban community is gullible. Liz Balmaseda calls it “a knee-jerk majority” that would elect a hamster wearing a Cuba Libre T-shirt, and,“They only cared that he was Cuban.”

All kidding aside, it is funny how Armando and his cousin WJDC , could not care less about the corruption here if it is from another Cuban but they rather attack the messanger and looking at all the Cuban political corruption we can safely say that the city attorney who is also Cuban ,Kathleen Rundle also could not care less.
"That agency’s guidelines prohibit elected officials from entering into contracts with persons or entities that do business with the municipality the elected official represents,“unless the transaction is an arms-length transaction made in the ordinary course of business.”

Yes it is and nothing will come of it as Bruno Barreiro is Cuban and part of the problem thus the Miami Cuban attorney Kathleen Rundle will look the other way.
It is the Miami Cuban political Cosa Nostra.
