If you shop at either one of these do-it-yourself stores, what have your experiences been like there? This is a retired person and not some marketing or public relations hack posting this. I'm curious.

I have been to the Home Depot in Doral and like it, you can always find someone to help you and well stocked.
The only time wasting experience I have had was finding someone to cut the lumber/wood and imagine many will agree as more than once have seen people with lumber looking for anyone to cut the wood but other than that ,no complaints.
I have been to the Lowes by SW (think 137 ave) and found their help fantastic .
Some things might be cheaper in one or the other but found prices more or less same.
If you can go during the week in afternoon or late am is your best bet because as you know less shoppers than weekends or night.

I just read the blog and can't comment on who cares or does not as never experienced any of that but as far as shopping goes I found both places I mentioned good.
