To all of James friends and especially to all his family members. Shame to say i only conversed with James only three times and i lived right next door. I just don't know who on earth could be so cruel as to take such a sweet man life? I wish there was some kind of noise or something, but no we didn't hear anything. I just can't help but cry every time i walk by his house just knowing he couldve actually be a good friend to his niehbors. I hope there is justice in this case, he was sooo... young and never even bothered a soul. I really am truthfully sorry and my heart goes out to everyone who is undergoing so much pain.

here is the thing... Jim was a great person...best you could find, and his life was taken way before it should have been... I feel he had a lot left to show all of his friends... new and old, now all we have left are OUR memories!! I pray that we find who robbed us, even though this will never make up for the loss that we all have felt, it may put our mind at ease... as simple as it sounds... this isn't fair.... I miss Jim, I did before he was taken and even more now! I can't figure out the words to end this... love you Jim...!

Thank you all for writing such touching thoughts about Jim. He was a beautiful young man and a wonderful son. My heart continues to break and I know I will never get over this. I miss him so very much. I do ask that you only write of your love for Jim and not comment on the case or make guesses about who did this to him. I know that the police are working diligently on his case and we have to leave it to them. If you know something that you feel would be beneficial for the Miami police to know, please call the hotline. Joanne (Jim's Mom)

Please do not use this forum to make accusations about others; including using names. If I can find a way, I will have those comments removed. This is painful enough without making others suffer as well. Joanne (Jim's Mom)

Joanne - thank you for your heartfelt comments. One week ago today, my son and Jim's dear friends were at our home putting together a collage of their high school memories of Jim. We shared laughter, tears and love. Please know that our home is always open to those who want to share a home cooked meal :) and reminisce fond memories of Jim. Please keep in touch. Love and Peace Be With You.

Las Vegas Tony, It meant alot to me that so many of Jim's friends came from LV and other parts of the U.S. to be at the funeral. It was meant for the purpose of celebrating his life but the loss of his life is so very unbearable. I was so glad that I got to meet you, Tony, you looked so very much like Jim to me. I loved your words about how you regarded Jim as your brother - they were comforting. I will visit Las Vegas one of these days and will contact all of you so we can get together. Please email me at [email protected] so that I have your email address. I would like to stay in touch. Love, Jim's Mom, Joanne

Mama R,
Thank you for your offer and sharing with me the details of that Sunday. I plan to have a get together soon for the very purpose of remembrances. I have all of Jim's personal possessions here at our home now and would like to share them with his friends. You and other moms and parents are welcome to come, too.

Jim's friends and family - please consider going to www.mem.com (once there search on Bowerman) to write personal comments about Jim. I plan to update the pictures and I will also update his biography soon. The mem.com website is a great place to share your love of Jim.

Thank you Joanne for getting on this forum and letting us all hear the voice of the closest person to Jim on this earth. I think all of us who posted comments needed to hear your words to calm our racing thoughts for justice. Also, I would like to be there when you share Jim's things so if their is a place and a time to be, I would love to know. I very much appreciate the opprotunity to get something other than pictures to remember Jim.

Thank you,
Sincerely

Rane - I'm thinking sometime during Memorial Day weekend. I've asked Zach to try to contact as many people as he can to see what day works best of that weekend (or if that weekend even works at all). You might want to contact him. I'm guessing Josh and Will also know by now.

You can send a message to me easier by going to www.mem.com and searching on Bowerman. You can post there and I'll get an email saying you've posted. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Unfortunately, I heard that James was a heavy cocaine user and running in the wrong circles. It is only a matter of time when you commit your life to drugs.....too bad he went down this path.

You Heard? What an idiot! Well I heard you are stupid and pathetic! Imagine you in Jims family's position and someone posts something like you did! How would you feel even when it isn't true? Karma will come knocking.

Jim did run with the wrong crowd and did cocaine. He was using and selling. You people need to have Michelle investigated as well as her boy who was Michelle and Jims dealer.
