"Despite pocketing an $800 monthly car allowance, several Miami-Dade commissioners use sworn police officers to chauffeur them in county cars -- costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands a year in overtime and raising concerns about personal abuse of public money."
"Commissioner Jose ''Pepe'' Diaz was ferried at least 144 times in 2007 and 2008 by Kevin Greenwood, one of the commission's sergeants-at-arms who provide security at meetings and, of late, have essentially become personal drivers for a handful of commissioners" http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics/flor... |

WATCH THE REAL CUBA. D0N'T LET Y0URSELF BE F00LED BY CASTR0'S LACKEYS!
http://www.therealcuba.com/ European diplomats visit the home of jailed dissident Dr. Darsi Ferrer (UPDATED) WATCH THE VIDEO OF THE VISIT OF THE 5 EUROPEAN DIPLOMATS TO DARSI'S HOUSE Click here August 27 11 PM - The Castro regime summoned the diplomats from the five European countries who went to visit the wife of jailed dissident Dr. Darsi Ferrer to complain that they were "interfering in Cuba's internal affairs." The Castro brothers consider Cuba as their private farm and the 11 million Cubans as their slaves, that they can jail, torture or murder without any civilized country having the right to even express solidarity with the relatives of the victims. "The message was of criticism about the visit, meddling in Cuban internal affairs and putting at risk the political dialogue. It was a pretty strong move," said a European diplomat. The five diplomats from Sweden, Poland, Hungary, Germany and Britain, had met with Yusnaimy Jorge Soca, the wife of Cuban physician Darsi Ferrer who has been imprisoned since July 21 on charges he bought two bags of cement on the black market and verbally assaulted a neighbor. His wife, pointing to concrete ceiling beams with gaping holes in the living room of their cramped home, told reporters a friend had given them cement to make repairs. "My husband is not in prison for two bags of cement," she said. "He's in prison for dreaming." More PREVIOUS STORY August 27 - European diplomats visited the family of a jailed Cuban dissident Thursday over concern the government has arrested him on criminal charges in a bid to block his political activities. Representatives from Sweden, the current president of the European Union, as well as diplomats from the United Kingdom, Germany, Hungary, and Poland, drove to the Havana home of Darsi Ferrer and talked to his wife. Ferrer has been an outspoken critic of the Cuban government and has even organized small marches to demand improved human rights in Cuba, an unusually bold move. Ferrer was arrested last month. But according to his wife, the charges are not political. She says he is being accused of verbal aggression and stealing cement. "They were two sacks of cement to fix this humble house," she told the visiting diplomats and journalists. "We didn't grab a cement truck, they were two sacks of cement that were donated by neighbors." The government won't disclose any details about the case. But some European governments are worried the charges could be a new tactic against opponents. CNN On Tuesday, I received an e-mail from Darsi's wife saying that she was able to visit him on August 5 and that he was suffering from a cold because of the humidity in his cell and the lack of hygiene, but that he is more determined than ever to continue his fight for the freedom of Cuba. Her next visit is scheduled for the end of this month |

All the corruption and garbage "our" Cuban politicians have given us through out the decades be it Cuba or Miami.
Many if not most do nothing for us while stealing/taking for themselves . I see Castro taking for himself while depriving the island and here I see things like - Cuban politicians making cut backs that affect schools- food for hungry elderly while giving their friends and themselves raises and using hundreds of thousands of dollars for special chauffeurs for themselves. I truly see no difference between Castro and these dogs when it comes to being self serving while throwing bread crumbs if that to the fools who elect them. You truly think most of these dogs wouldn't take your house,etc if they could ?. Open your eyes as it is many take and take while making cut backs on the "peasants" foolish enough to vote for them. The fed gvmt the REAL USA is what protects Cubans from Cuban politicians here in Miami. They can only push the envelope so much and boy do they. AGAIN if your capable look at the facts instead of Castro this and that - " "Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez has faced withering criticism for delivering HEFTY raises to key advisors only weeks after proclaiming the worst financial meltdown since the Great Depression required everyone to "do more with less.'' Hmmm sounds like Fidel does it not?. He and his friends "staff" get more we get less. To bad Cubans are so EASILY led and fooled by the Cuban political Cosa Nostra here. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/breaki... We are a culture of self serving and political corruption unlike anything America has seen . According to you and few other self defeating blind fools any Cuban that tries to open your eyes is "Pro Castro" .I have listed facts what corrupt politicians we have in our ranks but to many like you will jump off bridges if they tell you to. Cuba will NEVER be much more than a corrupt ceasepoool with Cuban politicians running it. The best thing that could happen to us is NOT 1 MORE Cuban politician in power. They have mostly been a disaster . "Despite pocketing an $800 monthly car allowance, several Miami-Dade commissioners use sworn police officers to chauffeur them in county cars -- costing taxpayers hundreds of thousands a year in overtime and raising concerns about personal abuse of public money. Commissioner Jose ''Pepe'' Diaz was ferried at least 144 times in 2007 and 2008" http://www.miamiherald.com/460/story/1006684.... With "brothers and sisters" like this we are better off with any other race/ethnicity running Miami. What's the greater shame these Miami parasites or the blind lemmings who support them. How much BS do "Miami Cubans" need to take before they open their eyes. |

You forgot to mention that the Narcist Manny Diaz Mayor is now going to have a 2.4 BILLION dollar baseball stadium built which will financially hurt Miami for 40 years.
The money could have been used better in many other REAL issues, A PRIVATE corporate stadium that we build. Ahh it must be nice to have the political Cuban Cosa nostra in your pocket . Not to mention that given what Miami is the stealing/skimming that will go on will be a horror. Cut backs in social services,etc with OUR money but a star wars type stadium for PRIVATE corporation now that your Cuban Mayor buddy wants. http://www.reason.com/news/show/33841.html Corporate welfare these Cuban "Reps" support but breakfast for the hungry and other services they want/make cut backs as thats not financially responcible pfffft. Cuban hypocrite ,corporate owned Cosa Nostra, By the time stadium is built it might cost us more than Iraq. |

AN0THER GREAT CUBAN!
Print Email Font Resize Guillermo Cespedes named L.A.'s new gang czar By Rick Orlov, Staff Writer Updated: 09/08/2009 05:13:31 PM PDT The creator of a youth program credited with tamping down violence at 16 Los Angeles parks was named Tuesday as the city's new anti-gang czar. Guillermo Cespedes, a native of Cuba who grew up in the United States, will succeed the Rev. Jeff Carr, who was promoted to serve as Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's chief of staff. "Two years ago, they were talking about how Los Angeles was doing nothing to deal with its gangs," Villaraigosa said at a City Hall news conference. "Today, they are looking at us as a model of what to do to deal with gang violence." The city's anti-gang effort resulted in not only a dramatic drop in gang-related crimes but a significant increase in park attendance, officials say. "Two years ago, we had a half-million people visiting our parks," Villaraigosa said. "This last year, we had 50,000 a week." Cespedes was credited with developing the Saturday Night Lights program, which began at eight parks and was expanded to 16 this past summer. It was praised last month during a speech by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. The program kept city parks open until midnight, with basketball, soccer, arts and similar activities providing a diversion to youths who might otherwise be caught up in gangs. Villaraigosa said he wants to see the program expanded to 24 parks next year. The program cost $2.8 million -$225,000 per park - with much of the funding coming from private foundations. "I understand this is a tough, tough job, but I am up to the task," Cespedes said. "I believe we have set the direction of this office in the last year and a half, so this is not really a transition period," Cespedes said. "This is a way of continuing to implement the strategies that have been clearly designed and articulated. We're in the second phase of that, which is the phase of program enhancement and program development." Cespedes is a graduate of Sacred Heart University and Columbia University. He taught African studies at California State University, Dominguez Hills, but has spent most of his professional career administering community service programs. He also developed the Summer of Success program in Baldwin Village that was a precursor to Saturday Night Lights. |

Oh yes there are good Cubans but as far as politicians/officials go ESP in Miami.
We are MOSTLY self serving culture of political corruption. Cubans in power that are self serving are the rule. Ask ANY NON Cuban or Cuban from another state living in Miami. Perhaps thats the problem to many Cubans in power here thus the Cuban "Cosa Nostra" and in LA an individual Cuban politician/official works fine. The Miami Cuban Cosa Nostra is not LA with LA's great ethnic/race/relegion diversity of politicians/officials. Here its mostly Cuban sewage waste. So MANY are horrible that I stand by my statement . If you want what is best for your Cuban family you DO NOT want a Cuban politician. You search hard for the exception but I have posted countless links showing the human Cuban leeches that suck the blood out of Miami and that is the norm in our Cuban political corrupt culture I will NEVER again vote for a Cuban after seeing what I have seen here and if my choice is Cuban vs Cuban which is sadly the choices in Miami than will vote against every incumbent as will not reward the garbage here with reelection. I have also seen racism by Cuban police that I NEVER saw by Anglo police . IMO Miami would be better off if we did not run a thing here as far as politics/police cheifs,etc. |
||||
---------- No that is a FACT . http://www.reason.com/news/show/33841.html CUBAN Mayors Diaz and Alvarez pushed for this 2.4 billion dollar stadium to be built while making cut backs in social services,schools,etc in Miami . They are TYPICAL Self serving,narcistic Cuban politicians. This is a private corporate owned stadium yet WE pay for it. Now if Pres Obama did this most Miami Cubans here would scream but if one of the Cuban Cosa Nostra does it. Its okay . This place needed bus service, more school funds,shelter funds,etc NOT A 2.4 billion dollar baseball stadium for these self absorbed Cuban political disasters. Not to mention who knows how much this will actually wind up costing and how much money will be stolen. Yes .I know as long as its not Castro other Cuban politicians can do no wrong in Miami pffft. Cuban politicians are as a whole a fiasco. |
||||
|
lol I dont think much of what Cuban politicians like Pepe Diaz does matters as most of these Miami Cuban voters seem incapable of freeing themselves of these self serving Cuban Kings/Queens.
These mostly self defeating Miami Cubans voters will walk hours in blazing sun since no bus while their kings get chauffers and luxury cars their tax money pays for. Have no sympathy for Miami Cubans they deserve none. |
