I side with the residents who think the siren should go.I live in the Lakeland district and I too think the antiquated alert system should go. With the digital and pager systems the members have , sirens are not needed to alert volunteers. Sounding a bell was ok back when most volunteers were working in the fields but that was then,this is now!
