As someone who legally immigrated here from the Great White North, I spent months and a few thousand dollars going thru the immigration process. I still have a couple of more steps to go such as adjusting from conditional permanent resident to permanent resident to citizen.
While I feel bad for this woman, I cannot be sympathetic to her situation. She broke the law, therefore, has no rights that legal greencard holders do. In my opinion, ICE should pick her up and deport her back to her own country.
It bothers me because some of these illegals are eligible to apply for work authorization and residency due to the Dreamact while I (who immigrated legally) had to wait months to receive my visa and then once I got here, had to wait months to receive my greencard.
The immigration forum that I am on now has a large percentage of people who have filed their immigration paperwork and due to the dreamact, have had their applications delayed by months as a result of the dreamact.
If it is so bad for her, she is more than welcome to go back home.

Worst part is that our government is more concerned with the rights and pay scale of illegal immigrants than they are with the rights and job market of the people born here.
