KFC owners close stores and file bankruptsy

Im writing this letter out of respect and honor for the former employees of the recently bankrupt Bischco Inc. As everyone knows by know all KFCs owned by Bischco closed their doors for good on Monday September 22nd putting at least 125 of their employees out of work. What many of you are unaware of is that this was done with absolutely no notice to the employees. We were all woken Monday morning with the message not to go to work anymore. No time to look for new jobs in a time where they are scarce. Now thanks to their decision to make everyone continue working and to file for bankruptys not only are they all out of a job but they will not receive the last two paychecks they are due. So thanks to the purchasing of a farm house, multiple utility vehicles, several horses, a lake house, pontoon boat, and a bad time in the economy said employees will be unable to pay their rent, make their car payments, feed their families and live according to their income and lower-middle class lifestyles unlike their employers.
They couldn't even tell their employees to their face what was happening. They hid what they were doing and what was going to happen and left it up to the employees to read a note left on the door explaining what corporate had done to them. Making them out to seem like the victims in the situation. Does NOT allowing your staff to take the daily deposits to the banks so that they pick them up personally make them the victims? They would keep these deposits without allowing them to go through the bank before they could claim their money. Even after an in store robbery they decided to continue down this destructive path.
Their posted letter wanted to thank their loyal empoloyees but when their loyal employees asked them about their unpaid checks that they were due the owners simply replies "Talk to the bankruptsy judge!" What their letter also failed to mention was not to bother trying to get in either. They were in their first thing Monday morning stripping out the store and changing the locks by six a.m. Any employee who had left any possession in the store expecting to return to work on Monday would just have to forget about anything they had in there.
I just wonder how long those of them who were paying their employers for insurance through them actually had real insurance. I suppose those employees who relied on those paychecks can look forward to no longer having any insurance as well.
Maybe those citizens of the community are better off not working for those kind of people and maybe we are better off for not giving people like that anymore of our money to fuel their life-style they couldn't afford themselves.
I find it unfair to their former employees and the citizens to now know what has truly been done to them. I know I will keep all of the recently laid off employees of Bischco Inc in my prayers as they try to find new jobs. Ones where they will be treated better than the one they had!

Outrageous! my local store (Mexico, Mo) was closed one day, which I was bummed about. I did't know why, and I sincerely hoped nothing had happen to the Manager. A few days later I saw some work being done on the sewers (it seemed), so I figured that the sotre had to close while repairs were done, and water was turned off.

It's been a week or more, and still no store, so on a whim I decided to google "Mexico, MO, KFC" and came across this article.

My sympathies go out to all the staff of my local store (and the other stores effected, of course), as many of you took the time to remember me, my order ("6 of each" boneless, anyone? <g>)- and I even saw some of you in the street or the mall and we chatted.

It's amazing to me that Bischco would do this, at a humanity level. No warning? No paycheck for time already servered? No access to get personal belongings? Outrageous! I don't know business laws, but I know this isn't fair. There may be some unreported and justifying reasons, but I don't know what they are, so going on what I do know I think there are various people in Bischco that should be thoroughly ashamed.

It would not be to bright for them to live around Moberly. People are really pissed off at them for doing this to the people who worked for them.

The owners of Bischco are: Thomas & Susan (live in Moberly) and Jeff & Debbie (live in Macon). I could not find a banckruptcy case on casenet, but I found a few cases pending and a few closed awaiting payment of judgements.

What nice people! I wonder if they have a daughter my worthless-excuse-for-a-human ex-brother-in-law can marry??? They seem like his kind of people!

I just noticed that Thomas & Susan have another address listed in Mount Prospect, Il!! Wonder how they got the money to move or do the courts know they have 2 addresses??? HAAG Foods is near my home, so I'll contact their lawyer on Moday and find out! It's the least I can do for the employees.

I eat at Churchs in Columbia all of the time. They have the best Chickhen strips around. No grizzle like KFC has in theirs. My son refuses to eat KFC strips.. Lees has great strips too. Ive yet to eat at Moberly's since it has reopened. I will probally get some this weekend. I miss the slaw and gravey, and thighs...

I worked in the Mexico KFC for 4 years. Still not got my money due, was forced to move to a new home (not able to pay my house payment) and was all but screwed out of everything I had worked for. Yeah this is what hard work and dedication get you in this world, kicked in the balls and smacked in the face for being loyal. Thanks Jeff and Debbie your a couple of real pieces of work.

So really? I have to be the one to say it?! If you can't spell any better than 'bankruptsy', then you don't even deserve a job at KFC. Buck up though mate, I hear the Handy Shop is hiring!
