One agin Mexia residents show how they do not support the kids and the community. The $7.2 million bond issue was for a new gym that is needed since the current has been in use since the mid 1960's. The current gym can only hold about 800 people and is verry outdated, tickets sell out within a couple of hours once they go on sell. The new gym would consist of 1700 seats, dressing rooms for both football and basketball, have classrooms, offices, and concession stands for football and basketball. If you wanted to keep your kids off the streets and keep them from doing drugs wouldnt you want your community to have a palce for the kids to enjoy and keep them busy?

I'm a student at Mexia High School, and sadly, I couldn't have said it better myself.
