I understand asd, but you must realize Julie was someone's loved one too. I really am sorry for you and your family.

I was great friends with Julie Johnson (I'm also her cousin), Jim's first wife. We went to school together in Metter and she was a beautiful girl outside and in who loved life and loved to laugh. All of us (her friends) know she would not and could not have committed suicide and I'm so glad that justice will finally hopefully be done and that sorry piece of crap prosecuted. We have lived with the loss all of these years.
God bless you! For Julie's sake, let's continue to keep this in the spotlight so that hopefully the authorities will uncover the truth. Julie is not here to tell the story, so we have to be her voice. Tonya died a horrific death and this man, who CONFESSED, must be held accountable. I realize he has a family too and i feel for them, but that doesnt make him any less of a MONSTER!!!!

Julie was like one of my daughters. She grew up with my girls. She was a strong beautiful girl. She loved life and was a friend to everyone she came in contact with each and ever day. I was very familiar with Jim Lynn and some of his actions.I send my thoughts and prayer to Tonya's family. It is so sad Tonya had to loose her life because Jim was not convicted in the death of his first wife.

I don't understand how someone who can take you to the exact location of where his wife is and still plead not guilty. Boggles my mind.

Of all the things a person could do wrong, murdering a loved one is the most selfish thing ever. The families that he has torn to shred's all because of selfishness. This is no crime of passion this is an act of unhumane kind. The thought of taken the mother of your kids life is disrespectful to say the least. Wrong is wrong by all means and the fact that he took it upon himself to try and hide his crime lets us all further know that he is aware of his wrong doings and in fact that he probably has done this before. I don't doubt that he killed his 1st wife. The thing is with a cold hearted person that if they get away with it once they are bound to do it again and again. The thought that these kids have to go on without either of their parent's is sickens me, and the fact that they no longer have the presents of their mother is the fault of their father outrages me. If candler county would have done their jon from the beginnig it woul'nt of been a second time or who's to say how many times he's done this. Truth be told he was brave enough to take Tonya's body so close to her parent's do shows that he was indeed PROUD of what he had done. and wasn't the least bit sympathic. That's as cold-hearted as it get. Im praying that he just confesses to both murders to have mercy on his soul becaue although he has taken live's the kids don't need to deal with the lost of the only other parent they have left. The bible says JUDGE NOT YE BE JUDGED. God has the final say in this matter and he is watching over him he know's Jim guilt and he will let the truth prevail. In this case justice for BOTH his wives will be served. And if my post offends anyone im sorry but im not. because in the back of everyone's head is they underlying fact that he is capable and has admitted to 1 why is hard to believe he has done this before every criminal gets better with time. While you're defending him remember it coul've been you. You never knew when you would have ticked him off he'd of taken your life. Just pray for the families and yourself that you were spared.

This is very sad for me and my son.I spent a great deal with this family for many years.I coached the boys , coached along side Jim,and spent much time with Tonya at ballgames.I served on the baseball board with Jim.The boys loved their father, and loved their mother..No matter what the opinion or facts, the kids lost the people that meant most to them.I pray that the children get the help and support that they need, and deeply deserve. My heart is very heavy for all involved..

I also knew Jim and Tonya for many years. Yes their marriage had lots of ups and downs but in no way can u excuse what Jim did to her and those precious children. Noone deserves to die that way and those children did not deserve to lose both of their parents. I am glad that he got the punishment that he deserved. And if he did indeed cause the death of Julie, he needs to be punished for that as well. It is evident in the evidence that was presented at trial ( and it came from his mouth) that he is a very disturbed person that is a danger to any woman that he gets involved with. Just pray for the family

With this not being in the spot light anymore, can anyone tell me why tonyas side ofthe family is the only one who can see the kids? Yes Jim did wrong.. But did his side of the family? I think it's obsurd that they've only seen the kids twice since the accident. Someone give me a logic answer to that please

Winder Police Dept charged James (Jim) Lynn, age 42, with his wife's murder. The newspaper reported that his first wife died sometime around 1989 in Metter. She was found in bathtub and her death was ruled suicide. Does anyone remember this or have info about this? I am having a hard time finding a newspaper article on this. Also, does anyone remember her name? Thanks!
