When will the people of Metter wake up and finally say " No " to all the crap in Metter? No town is perfect but it's sad when your own police officers are involved in the dealing of drugs.

Those are pretty bold accusations. I hope you are basing this on some sort of definitive proof rather than rumor or "word on the street." I know that if I had proof of a "dirty cop" i would turn that info into someone who would do something about it in a blink of an eye. I agree with concerned citizen, there are people out there that will do something about it!!!

The GBI had the sheriff and his brother growing it on there land. What happened with that? Yeah lets tell the powers that be so they can just sweep it under the table.

The Sheriff had the GBI sweep it under the table? I do not think so. Do a Google search on "GBI arrests officer" and you will see just how many law enforcement officers have been arrested by the GBI. By doing this, you can tell that the GBI does not cotton to police corruption. If there would have been any implication of wrongdoing, they would have arrested the responsible party. By the way, I have been hearing that same story for the past 20 years, try try come up with something new that has a factual basis behind it.

Hadn't been that long. Some one did take the fall for that though but it wasn't them. Call it like I see em. Hey i'm not condoning it. I would love for things to change. But sadly Metter is to corrupt for that to happen. You can't tell me with all that everyone knows that goes on in this one horse town. That the law enforcement in this town/county can't be doing more. No they had rather go for the misdemenor cases than get those who need to be caught and off the streets. The law is the law until you come to Metter.
