Growing up in this area I have always heard stories of Hunter Cook Mansion and I have been to the location where it once stood. Does anyone have more info or was this just a bunch of bull.

When I was in High school years ago we went there one night during a hay ride. If was still standing and had all grown up around it. We all walked in the front door. I don't know why it wasn't boarded up. Several guys walked toward the back and I remember seeing a stair case. It was dark. I'm not sure where it was exactly though but all my life I have heard stories about it. I wish I knew what happened there too?

It was Hunerkoch...and it wasn't a mansion. Just an old farmhouse in Unionville that burned down. The property is on Hamletsburg Rd...on the left...after the gravel. It was pretty popular when I was in high school...but the ghost story behind it changed everytime it was told.

I've been out to hunerkoch, it was a couple if months ago actually. The first time i went we heard children laughing then screaming. I had chucks of my hair pulled out and i was pushed and shoved. The second time we went i had bloody scratches up and down my arms and legs and not to mention some thing tried to rip my friends heart out. She had bloody claw marks thru her tank top t shirt and hoody on her chest over her heart. If you don't believe me i don't case but this stuff actually happened.

There are no such things a ghost only spirits or demons in an area where they have dominion. Be careful and do not tamper with the entities. By playing with this power you may open yourself to spiritual attack.

King Saul asked a witch to call up the dead prophit Samual for instruction....the witch did as commanded with Saul being informed he would die in battle the next day.....as it came true the next day.

BS, I was always told the place burned down. When I was in high school about 8 of us went out to the place where it was supposed to be and there was absolutely nothing going on. Same with the "devil's graveyard" and the haunted road racer out near brookport. All a bunch of BS.

It was the Hunerkock Mansion (long since torn down). That place scared the #$%#% out of hundreds of teens over the years (with a little help from "its" mischievous friends). ;) It was located on a remote hill a few miles out of tiny Unionville, IL. It's location was scary. The approach to the house was scary. The well (cistern) outside was scary. It's downstairs and upstairs were scary. It's windows were scary. Everything about the old Hunerkoch Mansion was scary.
