18 More Days Until The End Of The World!! Why do you think it has been so balmy and warm out? Something is seriously off. People on the West coast are getting tons of snow, we had superstorm Sandy, those areas where it's normal to get cold are not and those areas where it's normal not to be cold are cold. Mother Nature is having a meltdown I think.

You remember Y2K right? Hale Bopp comet? Everyone accredited Nostradamus' end of the world predictions on every single event that has happened in the last 100 years. WWII was also thought to be the end of the world, with people claiming Hitler was the Anti-Christ. When he didn't rise from the grave three days after his death, people shut up about it. Seriously, this is all a ploy to get people to spend money like there's no tomorrow, stock up on generators and bottled water, and then when Dec. 21st comes and goes, I'll be wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and waiting for the next Doomsday prediction to hit. And if I'm wrong... Well, I won't be here for anyone to tell me that they told me so.

I personally don't believe it's the end of the world but I do agree it appears something naturally catastrophic could happen

I've been working on prepping for about a year now and here is what I say to people that think I'm nuts. If I'm wrong (and I hope I am) on Dec. 22nd I can start enjoying some of my summer vegetables that I have stockpiled and you can feel content with saying 'I told you so'. But if I am right, I can start rationing food and water to survive [whatever may happens] and you will have to fight for every drink of water and every morsel of food you can get. The person you ridicule for being prepared just may be the same person you need to survive. I'm not obsessed but I'm ready.

I agree that things have been a little off with Mother Nature. But look at the facts you tards, no body will know the end. An as far as the myans go, they predicted the end but couldn't see the Spanish coming. Hummm?? That makes since. An according to our calendar an theirs, the end should have come years ago. Stop being tards

Around here the TARDS rule. We spend FORTUNES on public schools while parents abuse their young by taking them to cults to be brain washed and told LIES!

You can make fun if you want but when the grocery store shelves are bare or you find yourself without electricity could you survive? Are you ready? I know it sounds far fetched when you mention anything about preparedness due to a doomsday scenario. I even find it hard to believe sometimes myself. But it's just the fact that the whole world DOES seemingly appear to be going to hell before our eyes. It may not be on the 21st, but if the world proceeds down the path it's going now, it won't be long. And no I don't want to be on no prepper show! You sound like the type of sarcastic person that may fall victim of trying to steal other peoples food because you weren't smart enough to BE PREPARED. How hard could it be to be prepared? Here are two of my main goals...#1: Stockpile guns and ammunition to protect yourself from people like this guy.#2: Don't be afraid to shoot a thief/home invader (that is trying to steal your food) because they will kill you for it. But in the end, I hope no one is ever put in that situation.

Yeah, here's the deal... Some of us live paycheck to paycheck and can't afford to stock up on things. And have no storage space either. So don't blame the ones who had no resources in order to be prepared in the first place. Also, can't afford guns and ammo. I would LOVE to get a gun permit and a couple of hunting rifles to hunt for food. Not gonna happen because I'm always broke after the bills are paid. So I hope you do show a little mercy to some of those people who weren't able to prepare. But I suppose survival of the fittest, right? I guess working a full time job over the road, to take care of my wife and kids doesn't constitute as being worthy enough to survive the apocalypse.

If you are as poor as I am then I feel sorry for you. So money has nothing to do with it. Seeds for a garden for a whole year ain't but $10.00. I'll buy big packages of beans and cook the whole bag but I can 6 or 7 qts. of beans after I eat supper. Pinto beans has as much protein as beef and there are other foods (cheap, nutritious foods) that can be cooked in bulk and you can can what is left over. If you can 2 or 3 qts. or even pts. once or twice a week you have between 60 and 80 jars a year. Don't blame it on not having money because if I can prep jars of food then so can anyone else. You are one of hundred of thousands of people that has procrastinated about getting ready for 12-21-12. It's been talked about for years. It's not about survival for the fittest, it's survival for those with a little forethought. I've talked to dozens of people who recently started prepping because it is looking more and more like a catastrophy (or something) is in the realm of possibility. Our government may not be able to take care of you so you better make some sort of effort...NOW! At least buy some seeds for next summers garden. You have a computer so research what you can do now to help you just in case something does go wrong. God forbid. Good luck.

I've taken 3 different conceal carry classes and that is what they all instruct you to do. Kill. If someone is breaking into your house to steal your food or your weapons then they mean to do you harm. Bottom line, if you have to shoot someone, shoot to kill. That's what the academies teach police officers also. But try to avoid this at all cost. There isn't a court on earth that would convict you for defending your life.

The government has never taken care of any of my needs. I'm not on welfare and I don't use any form of government assistance. We have tried growing gardens in the past, and our land seriously never produced. Even doing the most detailed research into how to care for the crops. Our luck is and has always been crap. So good for you, I wish you well. And I sincerely wish you the best in the coming days.
