This problem seems to be epidemic. Doctors are people exposed to abnormaly high amounts of pain, stress and death. They are not Gods as so many seem to think. It is about time we recognized and treated their problems instead of locking them up and throwing away the key away. It takes years of hard work and dedication to become an MD. Does it not occur to anyone that doctors who get caught up in illegal drugs have a problem themselves and one that can be fixed. I vote for rehab and "controlled use of the well doctor's medical talents" as punishment instead hard time. We need more reasonably priced medical facilities for the uninsured and the underinsured. Why waste tax payers money warehousing educated doctors? Why not rehabilitate them and put them to work without an RX pad (let someone in charge write the RX). Let Doc work through a program for a year or so and go home on weekends with an ankle braclet. This is punishment, helps the doc, helps others, helps the tax payer, helps his family and unburdens the jail and prison system. For every doctor in jail, there is likely, an innocent family also being punished. This is America! Let's move forward and use our knowledge and resources creatively. Thank you for reading this post.

Very good idea. Hopefully, you have voiced this to the real authorities that can hear this suggestion and is taken to Congress for acceptance.

I have ordered prescription drugs (without a prescription) online from XTOP24 .COM about two years ago, and was pleased with the speed and quality of service.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my medication. The meds is expensive, but there is a generic version available overseas.
I love the idea of taking responsibility for my own health (or lack of health) and skipping the bureaucracy... to say nothing of having to drive to the doctor, wait in line, yet again, to get a prescription refilled.
