Well folks what happened in West Teas is what you get when goverment is downsized, aint that what the REPUBLICANS WANTED. THE REPUBLICANS WANT TO DOWNSIZE THE EPA, THE CLEAN WATER ACT AND IN FACT THEY WANT IT DOWNSIZED SO LITTLE AS nORQUIR SAYS TO FLUSH IT DOWN THE DRAIN OF A BATH TUB. i THINK IN THE STATE OF tEXAS THEY HAVE SO FEW INSPECTORS FOR THE DIFFERENT INSPECTIONS THAT HAVE TO BE MADE AT MANUFACUTRING PLANTS AND FERTILIZER PLANTS AND THE MANY OTHER DIFFERENT PLANTS THAT NEED INSPECTING FOR THE SAFETY OF THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES, AND THE SAFETY OF THE POPLE MOST OF ALL. tHSOE SAME PLANTS NEED TO BE inspected for Electrical problems, fire extingushers, and fire hazards, and if they are a possible explosive hazard to the communites. and human life. But neither the state nor the Federal goverment has enough inspectors hired to cover those plants needing inspection each year or sooner according to the different tyes of hazards that are in the different types of plants. In fact I doubt that there is enough money put into the inspection divisions of our state and local goverments to allow for the proper inspection of thsoe many plants needing inspections. Yep, that is our goverment at work and our legislators are at fault for neglecting its proper roll in financing thsoe different departments that do these inspections. And do not forget our illustrious governor for his part in not using his power as governor to get a grip on this situation so as to prevent it ever happening agin. Afterall Governor you are top dog in the state of TEXAS. DO SOMETHING AND START GETTING THOSE DANGEROUS PLANTS INSPECTED PROPRLY. iT LOOKS AS IF OUR STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERMENTS WE HIRE BY ELECTIGN PEOPLE TO REPRESENT US HAS FALLEN DOWN ON THE JOB. wANT OT LEAVE A COMMENT FOLKS ON GOVERMENTS NOT DOING ITS JOB. THOSE legislators we elect are also falling down on the job of making our lves a bit safer with the propr inspections. If thsoe plants are not up to par shut them down. any fire marshall has the power to do so tilll the plants are brought up to code. Looks like to me thsoe old boys inour legislators had their heads stuck up there where the sun does not shine., get my drift.

Folks, since when does a plant that has possible explovise products on its premises not get a proper inspection since it was last inspected in 1985. Since when does a goveremnt rely on self insepection of a palnt that has dangerous possible explosives products on its premises such as anmmonia nitrates. With proper inspection of the West Fertilizer Plant in West Texas such an explosion would have probably not occurred if thsoe inspections had taken place. Look at how man ydeaths has occurred and there may be possibly more after a full accounting of the people unaccounted for takes place. How many of you floks think both the state of Texas and the Federal Goverment has fallen down on doing its job properly on inspections of dangero us plants that may prevent future happenings agin causing death and destruction. Do you think self regulation will take care of the problem, it did not handle the bank sekf regulating theirselves ---we had a financial disaster happen by not using and enforcing the regulations we had. Will thsi happen once agin in another place and another time.
