El Monte man dies over holiday weekend on Lake Mohave

LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA, Nev. - A National Park Service official says two men died in separate incidents over the Memorial Day holiday on Lake Mohave.

My family has been there during the Holiday weekend before in the past it just got to crazy to go with my family and kids during the big long weekends there arejust to many DRUNK BOATERS..ITS NOT WORTH MY KIDS LIVES TO BE OUT ON THE LAKE WHEN IT IS A LONG WEEKEND.May the men who lost there lives REST IN PEACE.

How old are these guys and still drinking and riding and driving! It's sad that these locations that I had so often visited with the family in the past are now off limits due to the irresponsible behavior that's displayed there. It's bad enough you have to be careful with your water toys but you also have to keep an eye out for all the drunks and careless individuals on the water!!!!!

Im from whittier and every year in Laughlin either at the Colorado River or Lake Mohave something tragic happens. Im 24 now, but when I was 18 I would go to the river with no worries & a carefree attitude. But that all changed when I seen a jet ski blow up in my friends faces down Gasoline Alley. Everyone just tries to have a good time, but sometimes things happen. People choose to drink and drive, knowing that its killed millions of people. Yet they still do it. Some people never learn! my condolences go to both families

i live here and see the boats coming in from calif. i am sorry for the loss of this mans family, however if these folks would just come here and have fun, that would be great. however when the holiday is over, and the boats are gone, in order for us to enjoy the shores of the lake we need to clean up the bottles, cans, trash. they drive there boats too close to docks on the river, and to close to other folks out on the lake. there must be some lakes in ca. that you could go mess up. if your going to come here, have fun, but clean up your mess, and dont drink and drive

My family quit going out on the river and lake for the summers. It is way to crowded and dangerous.

I was out there this weekend and have never seen the line so long to get to the pay booth on Saturday. For as many epople as there were out there, we are lucky more people were not hurt or killed. One death is too many. Anyone on the lake or river should not drink and operate a watercraft.....and what ever you take with you make sure you dispose of your trash.....

I live in Bullhead ON THE RIVER. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen the tourist come here and not obey the laws. No life jackets, letting the kids operate their watercraft, drinking and boating. I am a boater, but I will not go out on Holiday weekends or on weekends for that matter. We have enough idiots here that go out and get stupid. So please if you come here, enjoy our lake and river but treat it like it was yours! Obey our laws and clean up after yourself, it will make for a safe and happy time!

I was out there this weekend also I own a place on the river and here in Glendora my friends say why go out on a crazy weekend, I love to see the mayhem I've been going out there for so long I can't break the habit and I don't drink thats why I can afford all these homes we went to anew place called Pirates Cove what a drunk fest if you like that kinda thing naked girls getting crazy
