Never fear, there are 2 more within like a 3 mile radius of that one anyway.
Plus trying to get in and out of there at 8am- always a pain in the rear

Ok..this is nuts. That is a brand new building! Hey maybe Dunkin Donuts can come back in. I loved Dunkin Donuts coffee way more than Starbucks. Only in America...the land of waste.

Nasty coffee-NO WAY!!!!! Each to their own. Have been a stbks lover since a visit to Seattle in the mid-90's. I was surprised they blanketed LC with 5 stores so quickly and almost could see the writing on the sky several months ago in regards to possible losses in LC. Hopefully, the others will continue to do well and we can keep enjoying the great stuff!

This may not be the case in this instance, but businesses are closing even faster than before. No one's buying, they have to save $ for gas! Just yesterday I was passing a string of restaurants and business was very slow.

Just what LC needs, another empty building. How dearly I hope the Walgreens on El Paseo will stand empty, after they finish the new one so they can move a few hundred feet down the street.

Why don't these companies have any responsibility for dealing with the eye sores they leave behind?

I was thinking the same thing, Meowbot. The sbux was built in such a way that there are few, if any, uses for that building. Just what we need, more urban blight.

I'm not going to weep over the closing of a Starbucks. Their overpriced offering are short on real decent coffee, and long on added flavoring to mask the shortcomings of the coffee itself.

I'd rather make my own decent coffee at home - and save a bunch of money besides.

Amen to that. Starbucks clerks looked at me funny when I'd order a triple shot with nothing else. I think it's because they know what it tastes like.

So they're closing the North Main location, but opening a new store on University & Espina? I just saw a worker yesterday mounting the signage on the building.

Please help me understand their mad methods...

Putting a starbucks store at that proximity to the crazy college is probably their best idea yet. That store is sure to be very successful given that college folks and novelty coffee drinks is the thing these days. Yeah that was a most rewarding move! I can't wait until it is open...Hey did you happen to see if there is a drive thru?? Now that would be boss!
