We all know people in this community that have lost their jobs and are looking for work. Voters that want to assist would do well to realize that Gil Jones, Dolores Archuleta, and Jim Harbison are very clearly the people who will cast votes on the City Council that will help create jobs. Groups like the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance are the problem here. They cloak themselves in a wholesome sounding name. But backed by wealthy contributors these organizations care nothing about jobs. Along with several sister organizations they quietly plow money into our community to prop up clueless candidates. These types are well organized and they systematically attack people who support charities in our area and make payrolls every month. Don't be fooled. Candidates Sorg, Pedroza, and Thomas will turn Las Cruces into a jobless quagmire if they get their way.

Yes jobs.. Harbison wants to bring in more Walmarts and build city and fire stations.. He will do this by giving Walmart a tax break and raising YOUR taxes to fund construction. He will not charge the builders he will put it ALL on the residents! Great jobs funded by our taxes really good idea.. I guess you are against and educated councilor.. you like a service guy that is used to taking orders without question.

Archuleta cares little about people in her district, she wraps herself in the flag, declares herself a friend of veteran's to get votes ,collects meaningless awards to justify her lack of service to her constituents, thumbs her nose at the public by not even saying on her reports why she is expending money on people and ignores problems in her district. When has she ever even bothered to visit with her district neighbors?Ever see her saying hola to you at your house,no she has to spend time shopping on her "mayor pro tem"expensive wardrobe and attend out of district and town meetings on your tab.THROW THE OLD RASCAL OUT and give Olga a chance.

What an ignorant statement to say Harbison is a "service guy" used to taking orders without question. You have no respect or understanding of how the military works. Go ahead and take cheap shots at this "service guy" and let's see where it gets you. As far as being against an educated councilor Thomas? I'm not against her education rather her ideas and priorties. You empitomize what is bad about politics. You make general, ignorant comments and personal attacks and fail to debate the issues. Crawl back into your cave.

There is still the question of who paid for the trashy push polls against Dr. Thomas. It is expensive. Let's vote:

A Business Industry Association
B Chamber of Commerce
C Jim Harbison
D All the above

This is a trick question - there were no push polls against Harbison.

Would it change your vote if you knew that Harbison is a card-carrying member of the John Birch Society, a racist group like the Kkk?

Would it change your vote if you new East Mesa Resident is a radical who spreads ill will and false information against Harbison all in support of Sharon Thomas. Argue the issues. But then again, if you are ashamed of your issues, you tend to ridicule and assert false claims. Calling Harbison a member of John Birch society is as ludicrous as calling Sharon Thomas a member of ACORN FAIR HOUSING FOR PROSTITUTES. Get a life and start debating the issues.

Stop right there my friend. There absolutely were push polls against Harbison. Quit being such a self righteous hypocrite.

Harbison is a California nut... he wants higher taxes and fewer minorities.. the numbers don't lie.. his financial supporters were wealth white males... thomas is funded by a large diverse group with most donations under $100!

I resent the aspersions being cast at the John Birch Society, which is a legitimate organization dedicated to immigration limitation and fostering traditional values fir traditional Americans.

Yes, and I resent 'Birch' used in a negative way. After all, a BIRCH is a type of tree, and I just LOVE trees, EVERY kind! I just want to hold them and hug them and love them! TREES, people! Hug TREES!
