This is absolutely great news, and Eddie Lerma is an excellent choice for Under Sheriff.

Congratulations Todd! I'm proud of you for running an honorable campaign & not resorting to negativity! Eddie's got many years of experience & is already an asset in heading the Advocacy Program. He'll serve you well as Under Sheriff.

Great job! I think that you can thank your Union President and the stunt that was pulled for helping sway some votes your way!

The nice thing was, that both candidates didn't talk bad about each other, and in all honesty this was VERY refreshing to see. I know both of them, and I would have been happy with either as Sheriff, however, CONGRATS Todd!

And the good people of this county have spoken. God Bless Todd Garrison and Lerma. Absolutely the right choice. Stewart would have spelled disaster for DASO and our communities.

You're correct in that both Todd & Ray weren't disrespectful of one another; however, my comment was not only about each individual but about their base camps. It was just this past weekend when I recall addressing some from Ray's camp that their negativity and mud slinging was only going to hurt Ray on comment #50.

If my comment above congratulating Todd was interpreted otherwise, my apologies as that wasn't my intention & I'm certain Ray knows it too.

Good point, but to be honest, I was not intending to refer to your comment, so therefore I apologize that it was interpreted as such.

I hope Todd Garrison starts to eliminate all the corrupt cops he's got now. If you cant fire them because they will sue, then encourage them to retire. They are making the whole department look bad and gives the public zero confidence. I am sure he knows who they are.
