Where were you Rodger- when anyone wearing or carrying signs against President Bush were thrown out of events even out of the national capital.
You were not even concerned then when people like me wrote letters decrying the hostility of the Presidents campaign workers.

What I have learned in my lifetime is that the only thing experience in office achieves is the capacity for corruption. Never vote for incumbents. Always vote them out. We need a continual change of people and ideas. Longer terms just allow for those on the inside to do more for themselves.

QUOTE"A vote for Constitutional Amendment #2 on Nov. 2 makes financial sense for New Mexico families and government fiscal responsibility. Constitutional Amendment #2 would allow county treasurers, clerks and other county elected officials to serve for three terms instead of two."

Vote against this..8 yers is long enough.. The Framers of Our State Constitution had a reason for putting it in there the way the did...mainly the fact that going into these offices was for public service and not for financial gain. They realized that in 8 years people have a little harder time placing their own agenda on the people and making rules that are good for themselves and the special interest groups and not for the people. Both Power and Popularity Corrupt! 12 years would be a disaster!

I'm sure there are people getting kicked out of state fairs all over the country for a myriad of reasons. An isolated instance of an overzealous Obama detractor in Alaska is not national news worthy.

Goodness. I would like to read up on those earlier instances and thoroughly familiarize myself with them. Can you provide me links so that I can read the stories and letters?

So right about congress being the truly overpaid beurocrats ...

... however, it is not that jobs like your husband's are overpaid so much as they are funded with immorally pillaged funds and the majority should not exist in the first place.

"A man is assaulted and arrested at the Alaska State Fair for an "Impeach Obama" sign. I am trying to find out why it was not reported on. No TV, no radio, no newspapers."

First, who cares?

Second, but didn't you know that Obama and Palin are really secret allies?

Finally, why don't you mush up to Alaska and get the poop, I mean, the scoop for us. We'll be waiting breathlessly (and holding out noses in case you come back with a scoop of poop) for your report.

RE: Alaska State Fair - As typical the Alex Jones’ tin-hatters had a kernel of corn in a big steaming pile of horse manure. A man was arrested. The Reich-wing propaganda machine ramped up into full paranoid alert. The fact the ARMED perpetrator was an atypical batcrap crazy teabagger is beside the point.

ALASKA STATE FAIR ADDRESSES ACTIONS SURROUNDING PROTESTER ARREST

“The Alaska State Fair, a nonprofit corporation, has explained from the beginning that the fairgrounds are private property, and that it has the right to regulate conduct across the property including solicitation, advertising, display of signs, materials distribution or other related activities….Hill [the perpetrator] managed to enter the fairgrounds with a handgun – entrances to the fairgrounds are posted with signs that say firearms are not allowed.

“…a vendor assistant, employed by the Alaska State Fair, did stop Hill just after he entered the Purple Gate, when she saw him blocking the walkway and impeding fairgoers ability to walk by holding his large sign across the walkway. When she questioned Hill as to his intentions, he yelled and called her names and refused to stop or change his behavior, so she called security. Hill’s actions at that time warranted his removal from the fairgrounds….Starplex management and the Palmer Police force have reviewed the actions taken by two security guards, the off-duty Alaska State Trooper who voluntarily assisted with Hill’s encounter, and arrest.

“… According to Petersen, Hill was not just standing there peacefully protesting, he was waving his sign, shouting and interfering with the show taking place at the Plaza. As soon as the security guards attempted to remove him from the property, Hill resisted and wrapped his legs around the guard. As he was brought under control, a handgun became visible in Hill’s pocket. The gun raised the situation to a different level, even though it’s not apparent in the video that a gun was involved.
The Palmer Police then transported Hill to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Holding Facility where he was remanded into custody to await arraignment before a magistrate. Hill has subsequently been charged with three misdemeanors.

HILL WAS ALREADY FACING CHARGES OF HARASSMENT LIKELY TO PROVOKE VIOLENCE FROM AN UNRELATED INCIDENT ON AUGUST 19.

Overpaid bureaucrats...

With all due respect; without knowing what your husband does specifically, and forgetting that you have a direct tie to his compensation, there has been a significant increase in waste through increased administration, etc that does not provide any real value. Consider the ratio of administrative versus personnel that produce a meaningful output (value added work).

As for compensation - look at the total compensation package to include benefits, pension, etc and many (possibly most) are overpaid. The number of private firms that offer a traditional "defined" pension decreases every year - where government maintains or adds pension benefits.

Sorry to disagree with you here; work with any government agency (local, state, federal) and be honest with yourself and you will see waste and overpay based on productivity / efficiency numbers.

Don't know Roger, Don't know you. Would like to meet Roger, would not like to meet you.

Glad we have a few Rogers around. We need some more citizens that watch the government a little.

What we need less of is a little sniveling tattle-tale twit like you.
