I am Lutheran. I admit I said several things in a hateful way. I respect the members and congregation of the Catholic church. What I detest is how the Vatican continues in criminal activities and tries to cover it up. Do you have any compassion for the children and families devastated by the priests immoral acts. I would not be so hateful towards the pope and his cronies if they did not cover up their criminal acts and tried to correct their evil ways. How can you still look up to these evil people who move priests and others from one location to another when they found out children were being molested. Remember "God loved the children". I wonder how God feels about your church leaders hiding the crimes and exposing other innocent children to the perversions of some. These pigs are supposed to teach the word of God and yet they continue to hurt one of God's most loved (children). The only act that I disagree with is the worshiping of Mary.
Catholics don't worship Mary. As a Lutheran you should know that Martin Luther had a very great devotion to Mary. But getting back to what Catholics believe; they believe that Mary is in heaven along with the angels and saints with God. They believe that she intercedes with her powerful prayer, because she is not dead, all the souls of the just are with the Father,( He is the God of the living not of the dead.) She is the mother of Jesus, which makes her the Mother Of God in his humanity. She is all pure because the Son of God would never be born of a woman with original sin. We believe that she prays for us, just as if I asked you to pray for me because of some problem or other. That is as plain as I can say it, and I hope you can understand it as such. Just for the record, the Catholic Church does have problems, but you would find that the public schools , and other institutions has problems with abuse. The Catholic Church is doing something about it, but most of the "doing" is being left out of the media. Then you have some people who hate the Catholic Church so much they cannot see anything good about it. This is the fuel that they need to keep bashing no matter what is being done.
I Love Mary very much, I hope that I can love her like Jesus loves her(which isn't possible). But I know if I love my God's mother at least He's happy about it because He loves her perfectly

I should have read your comment more carefully before I responded in the beginning. The people of Catholic faith are just following what their parents taught them and what their parents taught them. I truly believe that many of you will not see your leaders (priest, etc.) and especially the pope in heaven. Read your bible and continue to worship God but ignore the evil ones in robes.
Please don't judge who and who will not be in heaven. You do not know what passes between the bridge and the water. The Holy Cure' of Ars was upset about one of His parisoners committing suicide. He complained to the Father about it and God rebuked with those words. The soul can be forgiven, only souls who dispair will have a problem with entry to heaven. Sorrow before God and love of God and knowing that His mercy is greater that the most horrific sins.

Your posts were beautiful as your heart must be. I feel guilty for some of the things I have written because of you.

<quoted text>Agreed.... but try getting these buffoons to look in the Scriptures for a few minutes a day to get some TRUTH into their hearts!
NO WAY... they would much rather put up with all the FILTH and LIES that their "fathers" spew.
This religious outfit reeks from the rotten stench and amazingly many continue to adore it!
The internet is a great place for bigots and loaners to come out of the woodwork! 5,000 go on a pilgrimage to honor the Virgen de Guadalupe, and 5 bigots bellyache and whine on the Las Cruces Sun News website! LOL! I love it.

As of 2001, 24.5% of Americans were Catholic compared to 4.6% of the population being Lutheran. It stands to reason that there will be more "bad apples" in the larger population of any group of people. While condemning (and rightfully so) the Catholic Church for it's ( condoning by ignoring ) the abuse of young Altar Boys, you must not forget that Bishop Maria Jepson of the Lutheran Church, elected in 1992, stepped down from her post fot the exact same problem.
The Lutheran Church follows the teachings of Martin Luther. A good man, but a mortal man none the less. If people are not in awe of the woman who gave birth to the Son of God, then so be it, but why display and express hatred to those who do. Do the people who venerate the Virgin Mary harm you in any way. Is damge caused by their actions?
Martin Luther and the reformers of the 16th century believed that salvation came through grace, faith and scripture alone. That is all well and good, but Jesus taught love and forgiveness. No one can trully follow in His steps unless we leave judgement of others to almighty God.

The allegations led police to seize $30 million in Vatican assets in September. Anyone surprised! I'm not.

WHY DOESN'T AL-QAEDA FOCUS ON THE VATICAN. The world would be such a better place.
It's the vatican that will eventually put a choke hold on al-qaeda, and the rest of the world for that matter.
