Double Balderas' budget-the only way to fight crooks is to audit them and see where the money is going!

He got Susana Martinex 2 times on audits, she failed both!

Hector is one of the few Democrats I will be voting for. He has shown competence and integrity thus he should be rewarded with an additional term. I agree that increasing his budget is money well spent.

Besides transparency, audits are necessary to assist managers in closing potential "holes" in their system and identifying any past/current wrongdoing. We need not only more auditors but more like Hector.

I have to agree his office seems to be most functional. But the vote this time my vote goes to the lesser candidate who is lesser in evil.

Sorry, you must be thinking about a different Hector Balderas. The state auditor Balderas is in his early 30's. He has never been in the DEA and could not have served 32 years in any event.

However, he is an outstanding public servant and has done a crack job at the Auditor's office.

Educate yourself man. This guy is uncovering lots of corruption all over this miserably corrupt state. He is no dummy. I am all for throwing everyone out of office until we find some people that will actually work for the people. Hector is kicking ass and not taking names. He has repaid the tax payers his salary many times over in uncovering fraud, abuse and waste. Yes,lets clean the slate and get rid of the bums. Keep Hector. He is a man of integrity. Can anyone tell me why we should vote him out?

Sun News reported Chavez had a medical condition that might potentially impair him and wanted to turn the auditor's office into a law enforcement activity. I'm okay with the law enforcement approach provided the auditing still gets done - forensic accounting! Still it looks like this is the one state office that might be best or safely left to the Democrats even by those desiring big changes.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Gemini

Today's Full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse, will have a big impact on your relationships during the next few months, so stand by. If the cracks have been starting to show in a partnership, this could be when they turn into major fault lines that demand action. Can they be repaired or do they spell the end of the line? It may feel like a crisis but that doesn't mean it really is one, so don't over-react.
