LAS CRUCES >> A much-touted, proposed new building for Dona Ana County's 911 call center took a giant leap toward becoming reality, thanks to a successful bond issue in last week's special election.

When the county designs the building, make sure it is NOT a Taj Mahal like the county building and then there will be enough money left over to take care of the amount that the GRT did not go up.
We do not have to build a monument for every government building. Let the building meet the specification, but cut out the ornate BS that government is used to.
