I dont buy for a second that you were regitered in the first place. A pathetic attempt to impart more importance on your words.
Epic Fail!
I am so glad to see that learned how to spell while attending ENMU. I am sure your teachers are so proud of your statements on here. I happen to think ENMU is a great institution but can not believe they will allow DF to teach there.

Why would someone who was a principal became a teacher in a backwoods town like this? Don't you usually go from teacher to principal? Any parent who lets any person spank their children is sick in the head and should be hung.
He was a teacher first, in Portales, I had him as a teacher, and for paddling, that was the way things were handled in those days, but too many people complained about it, so the rules were changed now we have juvienil delinquits that cuss teachers out, threatens the teachers lives, and/or basically do what they want. And it all started with "my child never acts like that" And those are the ones that are the worst.

That is a good question.
Since he cannot be in the same room with anyone under eighteen unless it's family, I can see no way that he can teach at ENMU, unless it is only via online classes. I think we need to see his credentials to see if he even qualifies to teach at that level. Is it another Debbie Lee-type case in which jobs go to unqualified individuals in Ruidoso?

If this is true, this means that the AP kids can`t take a class with him.

Greetings from your friendly neighborhood fact-checker. We'll just start at the top, shall we? 1. He can't be ALONE with anyone under 18 unless it's family. 2. He is perfectly well qualified to direct both choirs and teach Music Appreciation. This is why he has done so for several years at ENMU. He gave up his license to teach high school and below, this does not affect his college teaching status. Simple fact check, takes 5 minutes, I didn't even have to google it. Just go to the article.

Facts you are so right.......... but I would think the local high school would be be unable to send students under 18 for AP classes over to ENMU b/c he was terminated for inappropriate behavior..... I am not sure relinquishing his teaching license was for High School does not include teaching license period. He will always have a record, can not vote, purchase a fire arm or hold a public office. Check felony laws in NM.

Well, I guess you showed them! Interesting reason for dropping out of school. In fact, the first time I've ever heard such a bizarre excuse.
Congratulations, Danny, for getting on with your life. Some people fall apart and drop all their classes over matters that are none of their business. You, on the other hand, have the courage to face the public and do your job.
Sorry but I disagree with you. He's an arrogant person who is in denial with what he's done. There are students under the age of 18 who take classes. If one of them signs up with his class, he cannot teach it or he breaks his probation. Then what will he do? I don't think "Concerned" should discontinue his support of ENMU as it is a good university. "Concerned" should simply make the board of regents aware of his/her concerns as well as the president and perhaps write a letter to the Portales New Tribune. That will get more people who can actually do something to act.

If felons can teach at ENMU, sign me up. I need a job. I transported some dope to canada a few years back and got pinched, but I'm a wiz with audio visual stuff and all things computer. Maybe I can get me one of those tenures too. Professor Ned. I like it.

Seems funny the college has not weighed in on this issue in the paper. I would hope they would have more class than to hire a convicted felon to teach, more so when you think of the AP students that go to ENMU. It is a single building, would think his being there would violate his parole as he would be in the same building and not isolated from them. Just passing a young man or woman in the hallway would break his parole.

I don't want my kids anywhere near this pervert. He is what he is regardless of the sweet plea deal he got.

Hope Ruidoso doesn't forget this guy and keeps him away from kids. He won't do it himself. He can't help it, I think he's in denial and a bit smug about what he's gotten away with.

Yep this mr flores character was at the high school honor band concert this last Saturday evening. Had the nerve to even come back to the band room & help clear the stage & was overheard saying "once a band director, always a band director". He had his wife with him but she was silent while he talked (stalked) band students, I know of several who were uncomfortable with his presence. Does he just not get it! Who monitors this pedophile?

Contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and ask for the deputy in charge of the Sex Offender Registry. If Mr. Flores was in violation of any of his terms, they need to know. They are the agency/entity responsible for monitoring him, along with the courts.
