Sorry but only one person on the current commission voted for the election. Remember, we had an election last November? The members who voted to support these charities in the past are no longer on the commission.
Thank you of course you are right .I was wrong to say that, I forgot that the faces have changed.I am sorry if I offended anyone by what I said.

YOU ARE JUST ONE MEAN SOUL...I PRAY FOR YOU TO NEVER NEED ASSISTANCE OF ANY TYPE.
PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION---What is meaner to give a FEW ( very few ) people a ride at almost no cost to them or raising the taxes, water bills and sewer costs on all the citizens? I would hope that if I ever became in the need of assistance that my family or neighbors would do as I do help the ones that I know who are in need.
I know there are a lot of people who think that it is right to force people to support the ones who can not take care of themselves and if we lived in a communist country you would be right, but we live in the USA the most charitable people in the world and if left alone they would do a better job than the gov. has done.

The only thing I disagree with in your statement is the word entitlements. No one is entitled.

No one is entitled? Ever? You might want to rethink that. Our veterans are certainly entitled-- to medical assistance and promised benefits for instance. People who pay into Social Security for the required amount of time are entitled to the SS benefits they were promised as are those who paid into Medicare. People who work 40 hours a week are entitled to a wage that will provide them with a living. Laid off workers hurting from our Government f'ing up our economy deserve and are entitled to unemployment benefits. You attitude speaks to a selfishness that I've seen among some seniors who could care less about who comes after them so long as they "get theirs".

As a citizen of the Downs I will never let up until I see the transit closed or it paying for it's self.
As long as the Downs keeps wanting to raise taxes and the cost of services such as water rates and sewer Then I will protest the taking of it's citizens money and getting nothing in return.
IT IS TIME FOR THE DOWNS TO CUT WASTE AND THE TRANSIT IS NOTHING BUT WASTE FOR THE DOWNS.
MAYBE ITS TIME TO TALK TO THE MAYOR OF THE VILLAGE. HE HAS COMPASSION AND A DESIRE TO HELP HIS CITIZENS. THEY HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE THAT IS NEEDED TO WORK WITH COMPLIANCE ISSUES AND ANY KIND OF GRANT WORK THAT IS NEEDED. TRANSIT IS HERE TO STAY. TOO MANY PEOPLE NEED IT AND USE IT. THE COMMUNITY NEEDS IT FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES ( EVACUATION OF CITIZENS AND TRANSPORTATION OF FOOD AND WATER TO FIRE CREWS) AS WELL TO HELP ELIMINATE THE HORRIBLE PARKING IN MIDTOWN. YOU GO AHEAD AND CONTINUE TO PREACH YOUR GREEDY IDEAS. i WILL PRAY FOR YOU TO HAVE YOUR VISIONS AND IDEAS CHANGED WHEN IT COMES TO "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR"
