The fire stopped by itself.
Luckily there were no winds to push the fire, otherwise there would have been more acreage burned and structures lost. Firefighter's could only anchor and flank the fire.
Wind driven fire's can only be anchored and flank with heavy equipment. Human safety is the highest priority.
If you get hurt then you only add to the problem and are unable to help anyone. Escape routes and safety zones are very important, keep these in mind always.
Be calm, don't yell on the radio, and keep cool-think safety at all times. Use common sense and think, before you act.
However, firefighters did an excellent job of trying to protect structures which was really futile with several lost.
The water drops helped a little. Need improvement on evacuations. Not very organized. Follow the plan, if there is one. Be safe.
