I can only assume you are anti-rights. Sad.

I will not stand behind the curtain of a phony title. I will set the story straight for all of you who so desperately need to know the truth. My husband has no plans to run again - never did. As he has said in the newspaper, at Council meetins and on the radio, HE IS NOT ANTI-GUN!!!
He only requested in September of 2011 by Executive Order that firearms not be carried into Municipal Buildings. The Council rescinded his order and 65 armed men attended the next meeting at which they abusively insulted him for over an hour at the podium one by one. Now.....that is truth, like it or not.
Those of you who have so misinterpreted his actions can no longer hide behind your false information and the names you make up for yourselves.
By your misinformation and lies, you have interfered with moving this Village forward and damaged it as far as tourism. It is a sad commentary when the public allows themselves to be so led along by so few who seemingly have nothing to do but spread lies.
Don't worry about responding to me because I could care less what you have to retort. Reading this blog today was pathetic.

Alborn put himself above the law in September 2011. The citizenry and (most) of the Village Council helped defeat his dictatorial proclamation.
He said that he would resign if the Council reversed his decision. They did. He didn't. Where is his integrity?
It would be best for your husband to gracefully resign.

"No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms."
Sue, and what part of the NM constitution above did he not understand? I was one of the speakers, blame 25 years in the military and watching our freedoms and rights being stripped by politicians who think they are above the law. He probably relyed on his city attorney advice, big mistake. I hope he learned something from it, I know many other mayors did!:)......O.L.

In all respect, your husband may be a very fine man, a good provider, a good husband, a good father, kind towards the people who deserve such.
But in truh, he made some bad calls in regards to state constitutional gun laws, and went against state laws, making up his own laws in Ruidoso as he saw fit. And the Village Attorney must've been just as blind as him in this regard.
Had the council not recinded his mistake, your husband probably would've cost the village of Ruidoso some substantial taxpayer money.
That is irresponsible, poor vision, and poor knowledge for a man who hold an important position as Mayor of a township.
As I understand it, he shamefully, and illegally disarmed a Mr Seno, like it was some jack booted Brat Fry with his sherrif in hand. How sad this was.
And with the follow up at the town hall, there was armed police, standing, with hands on their hips, anticipating some OK Corral Shootout. That's how brainwashed america has become, to consider the regulat law abiding John Q Public citizen in america as the enemy to be terminated. How sad, and sick you are, but you libs just will never see such as logical.
Lucky Mr Seno didn't persue suing the township, just like the fellow at Aviator 10 Theater in Alamogordo. He too could've taken it further, and collected more monies in litigation.
Continue with your push, with Mayors against Illegal Guns", and making more and more "Gun Free Zones". It's people like your husband, Obama, Eric Holder, Feinstein, the Bloombergs, Daleys, Emanuels, who are the true souces of the liberal blind enablers, who will never stop, and continue to let criminals commit their heinous crimes, while law abiding american citizens are being cited, fined for simply spitting on the sidewalks.

Sue, let’s really set the story straight here.
It started with your husband having the Chief of Police illegally confiscate a firearm from a citizen at a Village Council meeting. He then went on to issue an Executive Order in complete and utter contempt of the Constitution of New Mexico.
The mayor’s Executive Order stated that firearms would not be permitted on ANY PUBLIC PROPERTY. What he meant and what was in the order were 2 different things.
After a public outcry, he came out to “clarify” that the order was intended only for Village Building.
About 65 law abiding citizens, exercising their rights to open carry, attended the next Village Council meeting. Your husband limited the number of speakers to 5 and set a time limit of 3 minutes each. Abusively insulted him? Nah. The speakers for the most part tried to explain the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution and Section 6 of the NM Constitution.
Here is Sec. 6.
[Right to bear arms.]
No law shall abridge the right of the citizen to keep and bear arms for security and defense, for lawful hunting and recreational use and for other lawful purposes, but nothing herein shall be held to permit the carrying of concealed weapons. No municipality or county shall regulate, in any way, an incident of the right to keep and bear arms.
Please refer to the last sentence. That is what the audience was trying to get your husband to comprehend.
THEN the Village Council rescinded the order.
We have not misinterpreted his actions. His actions have simply been illegal. There is no false information that we are hiding behind, as you allege. If this has interfered with “moving the Village forward”, then it was going in the wrong direction.
But, it doesn’t end there. Not heeding the intentions of the council and the very vocal outrage at his executive order, your husband had the unmitigated gall to sign a letter as mayor of the Village of Ruidoso (and implicitly implying all the citizens as well) that supports the restrictions of our US and NM constitutional rights.
Your husband needs to remember that he was elected to represent the people, not dictate to them.

Over 12 million guns per year are sold in the U.S. Now with all the talk about gun bans etc, you can't even find one to buy. Ammo is the same way. I am so proud of our politicians. Keep talking about it and doing nothing. We will sell a record number of guns and ammo before anything ever gets done. More talk, more guns, more business. Cycle of success and it continues through today.

See- Nothing being posted in some 17 Days. Like that person said about Sandy Hook CT. We will have moved on to something else in a month. Yep, they were correct. We need more talk, more discussion, more hatred. That all means more guns being bought and sold. More guns for everyone. Yeahhhhhhhh Come on don't let it rest. Let's get it going again. Go try to by a gun. A friend of mine is number 56 on a waiting list to buy an AR. He doesn't even own a gun. This will be his first and all because of everything that is going on. Lets keep having meetings argueing and talking. It all sells more guns and ammo. Cycle of Success. Good for business.

I find it touching when a wife defends her husband even if it costs her.

Did she come to his aid out of love and respect or did alborn issue her a decree?

Is he that kind of husband? I've heard about his raging temper tantrums but never figured him for a controlling or abusive husband. I'd like to think the best of him but as a mayor, he is definitely a failure.
