Making anything hard to get obviously doesn't stop addiction, read this thread or look around. Making it legally available eliminates the black market and high price, hence no need for theft to support a habit.
Addiction is bad, but adding theft to the problem is worse.
Look at Holland, Portugal, etc. They have decriminalized drugs and have relatively far fewer related problems.
For those of you who think alcohol is legal, therefore not a drug or a problem, see what British doctors recently concluded at this link.

If it was legal, it could be controlled and taxed by the Gov., much the same way alcohol is now. This would ad massive revenue and allow for the dismantling of the Gestappo-like money pit DEA.
Addiction is a disease/mental health issue. Locking people up for protracted periods of sheer torture only manufactures bitter criminals at a very substantial cost in the bargain.

Are you so stupied that you can't see what other people are trying to say. Is throwing these kids in jail helping with the problem? You are a very ignorant person that has issues. Nobody is saying that they should be babied or that they shouldn't be accountable for what their doing. SO in the past post when people told you to educate yourself, you should take their advice and learn how to read and write so you don't look so stupied. I am glad your not a fireman, cause you would just put out the flames you see and not the root of the flame.. Get a life and realize these people are going to keep commiting crimes to get the fix they need so there is 2 choices fix the drug thing and then watch the crime rate go down. Your welcome to come and kick my door in but you might be in for a surprise,,,You definately won't be leaving with my $hit. I am glad you finally admitted that you're a crack head, you know that is the first step to recovery.

None of the scuzzzzzzzzzbag parents around here, or anywhere for that matter, want to take responsibility for their seed. Parenting is at an ALL-TIME low in America. Love is replaced with material objects and fake paper fiat money. That's all everyone loves now, material shit and paper money. Simpletons. Dumb people. If you're a parent and you're a washed-up peabrained boozehound and filthy drug addict, then chances are, your shitty kids are gunna grow and be a carbon copy. But dumb, weak-minded, inhumane people don't understand how things work, if they kid....we'd have less shitty kids runnin' around the barrio. Dumb, shitty, ignorant parents? Dumb, shitty, ignorant kids. If you're a dope, your kids a dope. There needs to be MUCH MORE attention paid to parenting and the PARENTS. Shitty parents who allow their shitty demons to run amok should be TAXED, heavily. It's called the Dummy Tax. Humane, intelligent, peaceful humans should be rewarded with TAX-FREE LIVING. The liars, scoundrels, abusers and SHITTY PARENTS should foot the bill.
