Bill outlawing discrimination against people who change gender rejected

The House of Representatives rejected legislation Thursday that would have made it illegal to discriminate against transgender people in housing or accommodation.

in my opinion sex change should not be allowed what so ever i believe that it is wrong. you are born one way for a reason and it should stay that way no matter what the circumstance!!!!!!!!!!

So I take it you are against kids who are born with a cleft palate getting surgery? Or maybe those who are born with holes in their hearts? I'm guessing by this statement that you are against organ transplants if the person was born with a weak or defective organ, since, after all, they were made that way for a reason?

Or is it that you support all these things but you don't support surgery to correct a mind/body mismatch because, well, it's just icky?

Besides which, what does that have to do with a law that makes hurtful prejudice and unfair discrimination illegal? Is it because you WANT to discriminate against gender nonconforming people? Do you think you have a right to do so because you were born "normal" and they are not?

If you believe that then, again, your position is morally bankrupt and false.

Perhaps if you would learn a bit, as Roisia wisely suggested, about who trans people really are and what they are really dealing with you might change your mind but somehow I doubt you'll make the effort.

I find it interesting that you would think a nondiscrimination law in New Hampshire would take anything away from you. Nothing about this law would come at your expense, how could it?

Trans people do not think they are all that special, at least not in the political sense. They want the same protections that are afforded other severely discriminated against minorities. Equal protections. Equal rights. There's nothing special about that.
