This is really too bad. Maybe chalk it up to a new business still getting its "sea legs". But really for a chef to tell that to a customer is inexcusable and for the manager not to come to the table and offer an apology isn't right either. We'll stick to Tortilla Flat for great Mexican food in Merrimack.

I wonder where the cook will work after this review is published. What an idiot. What does cook care if it turns out to be something you do't like. He's still getting his hourly shift.

I've eaten there, and won't again. I have several friends who go because they make decent drinks, but they don't eat the food there.

Stick with Tortilla Flats. I know it's a drive, but it really is worth it. Amigos would be overpriced if it were good, and it's not.

Amigos Merrimack is less than 10 minutes away for us. I am hoping it is good. We did have a bizarre experience at the one in Milford. I can't remember what my fiance ordered but it was so tweaked and embellished that it was hard to know what it really was. I think the chef was trying far to hard to be unique. Mexican is mexican and that is what we want!!!!!!
If this doesn't work out, there is always our old dependable standby......CommonMan!!!!!!

I had a similar experience at T-Bones in Hudson. I had gone there with 5 friends, and we all ordered drinks, appetizers, more drinks and meals. When our meals finally came, almost an hour after we had arrived, the three of us who ordered Alfredo were disappointed to find the sauce was soured. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress, she said it was our fault because we ordered so much food, and the manager agreed with her. We got three dinners that we couldnt eat, and they refused to take them off the bill.
We paid and left, and never went back. It was astoundingly bad.

My mother chose this restaurant when I told her I wanted to take her our for Mother's Day. We arrived at the restaurant and I was ignored at the front counter for 10 minutes while the hostess punched keys on the cash register. Eventually she took my name and we began waiting for what we were told was a 20min wait. Other people who were there waiting began complaining and asking to speak to a manager. no manager was on duty at the time, apparently he/she had "no-Showed" for work that evening on MOTHERS DAY! after waiting 25-30min and being the only party left waiting, I approached the counter and asked how much longer it would be. the hostess has the audacity to ask me for my name. WE WERE THE ONLY PARTY WAITING. then she turned and directed her attention to another waitress that interrupted me, at which point we turned around and left. we drove 5min down the street to the Common Man and had a great dinner there.

I have had Amigos take-out 3 times and all were excellent! The shaved beef enchilatas and burritos were great, but the roasted chicken were even better. I have never had such great tasting spanish rice. I just want to a big order of rice next time and the sweet potato french fries are excellent as well.

I love Amigo's, I think all new restaurants are so so in the first few months of business. They are working out the kinks, including finding the right staff. Try it again, I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Ok ok I usually don't plug much but I have to say Amigo's in Merrimack was awesome. I went there and it was near closing time. My rule is 30 mins before closing don't go. Its respectful to the staff. In this case the Bartender and owner were both telling me "no its great, sit down" I was treated like it was midday and all their focus was on me. If you haven't been there go if you have tell the owner John that you read this! Thanks,
