Who's to blame?

Nassau County's District Attorney Kathleen Rice
is to be lauded for her investigation and subsquent
arrests regarding the scandels of the North Hempstead
Buildings Department.
The TNH's buildings department has been corrupt
for many many years under various administrations.
Bribes, politcial payoffs, and lack of code enforcement
was always the order of the day, while Town, county
and previous District Attorney's on the county and
town level looked the other way.
Unfortunately, for many town residents, the lack of
code enforcement had a negetive effect on the quality
of life and dire consequences for the enviroment.
Hopefully, D.A. Rice's positive efforts to root out
corruption in the TNH will force the town and county
officials to enforce laws they never ment to do when
they took the oath of office..........

DA RICE IS NOT GOING TO PUT UP WITH THIS KIND OF STUFF, NOT A CHANCE THEY WILL ALL BE IN JAIL WITH A WINK OF THE EYE, AND THEY WILL DESERVE WHATEVER THEY GET, THE TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN WAS THE SAME 18 MEN WENT TO JAIL AND THEY SHOULD STAY THERE UNDER THE LAVELLE ADMINISTRATION.

Where did this original quote come from? It isn't even a part of this article comments. Newsday ought to do a better job of reviewing comments for offensive content.

I am triplely offended, Kate, first by seeing you reprint the "N" word from the original quote on this site and then twice more as an Irish and Italian American. And finally, What does any of this have to do with a bunch of crooks in the Town of North Hempstead? Is "Irish" implying that Kathleen Rice as an Irish American is a crook? No way.
She done good by making these arrests before elections but what about the big guys. I'm sure all these guys didn't cook all this up by themselves. Follow the money!
