Hi, my family and I are possibly relocating to the Huntsville/Madison area in Alabama. I'm wanting to know what the area is like. I have two teenage sons, so I'm looking for the best high schools possibly in Madison. Also wondering what some of the best Baptist churches are in Madison. As far as employment, I've heard mixed opinions. I have a possible job lead, but say I didn't. What are the chances of me getting a job there with a background in Education/Finance? I appreciate any and all opinions, responses, advice, etc. Thank you and God bless!!!

I worked for a Long Island company as a field service rep and worked at Wyle Labs in Huntsville Alabama. Huntsville by the way, is a very high tech area. The people at Wyle were wonderful to work with and knew their jobs well. Your sons will be in heaven there because, as far as I'm concerned, the women there are beautiful. I fell in love with a woman who worked at Wyle but didn't pursue it for reasons I won't discuss here although I still think about her all the time. I didn't live there so I can't tell you anything about the schools or churches. You could check the internet for that info in the areas you are interested in.

We moved to HSV in the 1960's from California, day was on the Saturn program. , I went to High school at Lee High school and then to Calhoun JC. Ended up in the Army and then Came back and got a BSN at UAH. I married three girls from Madison County . I have been all over the country and overseas . And I have to say that Huntsville still looks better than most places . I go back to Hsv from time to time and I am always amazed at the growth I see there . It makes my native home here in SE Kansas look like a third world country by compassion (LOL)

Madison is wonderful. I lived in Huntsville for 17 years and there is no comparison between the two.Sorry, I can't help with the churches but the schools are very good too. My son is currently in Madison Elementary and is doing great. His school was recognized as what they call a "Master School". All in all, I love it here.Nice and quiet. My mother also lives in Madison too. With your experience, you should be able to get a job pretty easy. Just have to hustle.
