you think that volunteers are worthless. you think that they are fools. you say this until you dial 911 and expect someone to show up. guess who is going to be there first. the volunteers! we give our time and risk our lives to save yours. we go into places and do things that you can never imagine. we volunteer to fight what you fear. that was my friend on that engine. you clearly dont understand what a firefighters job is to say "these so called volunteer fireman" as if we dont do a job. we do everything a paid fire department does, except we ask for nothing in return.

The driver was uninjured. The truck was a total loss. The driver has well over 10 years experience driving firetrucks, and is an overall UPSTANDING CITIZEN AND ALL AROUND GOOD PERSON. They type of person that isnt generally disgruntled, and always looking to point a finger. The departments pay for insurance just like you do. So now, they are out of a firetruck until the insurance replaces it. I bet you dont bitch like this when a Deputy wrecks a car.... We provide a service for FREE....Ungrateful citizens of Madison County we point our finger at you.... but its the MIDDLE ONE

when duty calls expect the unexpected this is why our job in number one most dangerous.voulunteers are the best in the world, when they have a bad day oboy we get it all down our back.volunters need some protection against people that wanna get sue happy we get in more trouble if we wreck than a drunk does. trust me i know from a drunk killing a brother in law of mine and had to respond to it.so thank god their okthank god for brothers like us once were gone who u got.firefighter for life.

Until you actually grow some balls and do what we do, you just need to shut the f*** up! Instead of criticizing us, why don't you get off your lazy a** and do something to help someone. Maybe when you have an emergency, the "so call volunteer fireman" will take their time and not "drive like a fool" to help you!

Volunteers do a great job and every community should be grateful for the service they provide. I live in a town where all our firemen are volunteers and they do an outstanding job. I'm glad this guy is ok. This could have happened to anyone.

As a mother of a volunteer firefighter who starting volunteering at 16,they are the best firefighters we have to depend on out here!!! they are trained very well and are always training in others areas to better themselves as firefighters. I find it appauling to those of you who judge this incident as recless and maybe it was a rubbernecker who caused him to wreck. If you see an EMERGENCY vehicle coming be respectful move over so they don't get injured trying to avoid YOU!!

Thanks to all of the volunteers that risk their lives everyday standing by their two way radio every minute waiting for their tone to go on a call...they do it without pay and that just amazes me that we have guys and gals out there that want to help others!
