A full court recruiting tactic utilized by the Marines. The other branches of service at least wait until the kids are old enough to know what they are getting into. The Marines do it under the vail of a "youth program". Watch the amount of attention these young kids get when they get into high school. The pressure from the Marines to enlist will be 10 times that the other kids get. Their files have been started and they will be updated each year. They are probably already feeling the pressure to bring a friend to the "young marines" meetings and are chastised when they don't. Careful what you let your kids do mom and dad....this is not your "normal" youth service program.

The Marines have been doing this for years. I know for a fact the Army was doing it before the 80s as I was a recruiter in 1981. We did not pressure these kids so Bob you do not know a thing about this. Have a nice day.

You are probably one of these who never served in any branch of the service. Therefore you cannot know what goes on. There will be kids who do not want to serve and those who do. The pressure will not dewstroy sthem.

I own & operate a Young Marines Boot Camp located in The Rocket City, right on the boundary of Redstone Arsenal on the Tennessee River in Madison Alabama.

Our roster is presently full at the moment, but if you're interested in attending, please contact me for more information, and we'll see about signing you folks up for the next go round.

Son, we'd love for you to join. Because you have to family, the US Marines can and will be your new family. You sound like a good kid!
